I don't know if there's already a thread on it, and I'm too lazy to search for anything that's not on this page! W00t!! :fpompoms

I would like to know how many people are clairvoyant (or not), and how many clairvoyant "flashes" have been going around.

I'm honing this neat new ability, and the images I get are pretty detailed and happily sharp. :)

Here's one example. I was browsing through an old collection one day, when I came across a strange looking 4-armed cross (there's a pun here, somewhere). Without even touching it, I got a flash:

I was looking through the eyes of a haggard peasant man, kneeling on a cold, hard, rough, cobblestone street. I was surrounded by people in drab tunics and such, like medieval Europe. A church official of some kind, adorned in white and red, was shouting at me angrily, eyes wide, lines of anger vivid on his fiery face. He seemed to be spewing horrible damnation to me, thrusting the cross at me like a weapon, a chair you back a monster off with. It was cloudy, very cold, and being so poor, I had little to wear.

I didn't touch the cross, and I will NEVER lay a finger on it. The owner told me it's about 1,000 years old, and came from Russia. I knew it wasn't a past life, because I felt the scene was attached to that relic. Also, I doubt my soul is 1,000 years old (It's rather young), and I have never been to Russia in any of my lives. After hearing all of this, my fiance dug around the cross's energies, and found the scene I had been looking for. We both agree that the poor man being condemned didn't last very long. :(

It's so fascinating. A practicing friend of mine got a different image from it. She said that she saw a scene where a filthy, bloody woman carrying a dead infant in her arms was crying, wailing, praying, being frantic in front of the cross. Her clothing was torn, and the church was half gone from bombings or explosions. The scene affected her so much that she nearly cried, and it took a good night's sleep to correct herself.

Well? Any additions? :)

I only know of one method to exercise clairvoyant ability: increase your awareness of everything around you. As you ride in a car (not drive!), become aware of each and every twig and leaf on a tree. Watch the glints and shines on passing cars. The details.

The Celestine Prophecy talks about coincidences and how when we become attuned to the correct energies, these "flashes" become more and more honed. Since I began to open myself up to the universe, I have become far more clairvoyant because of it.

I thought it was psychometry when one handles an object and gets visions of who it belonged to or how it has been used. And that clairvoyance was linking to another person and seeing what they are seeing. I may have to do a little digging to sort these out in my mind.

Oh, and oddly enough, when I held the cross I felt like I was one of the Russian Orthodox priests who had held it in the past, it gave me such a sense of power. Actually the damn thing felt more like a weapon than a religious artifact.

clairvoyance: second sight. being able to have a clear image, as a film or scene being played out in the mind in which events of the future are revealed to the seer.

psychometry: one uses an item belonging to the person you wish to know more about, to forecast a future on their behalf or see their fate.

Sounds like you've come into some psychometry powers. It plays out the same way as a clairvoyant but you use material things. It might grow into clairvoyance though the to are closely linked.

My name tells you what I am. Good luck.

Yes I do, I'm Precognitive and slightly Postcognitive.
Clairvoyance and Divination also come naturally to me. I was so tempted to answer the poll with "what the hell.." though, lol

Well, nothing ever really clear and sharp....but I do have precognitive abilities. I will get a sensation that feels for all the world like a full blown panic attack complete with heart palpitations and a sense of overwhelming dread. I know beyond any shadow of a doubt that something terrible is going to happen. Regrettably, I'm never quite sure what or who is going to be involved...just that it is someone close to me (friends or family members, and close co-workers). Only occasionally do I get a sense of who might be involved, but that still doesn't happen all the time. Usually within a few hours I get a phone call that so and so had an accident, or something bad happened-- and it was right about the time I was experiencing my "attack".
I am finding that the more I work with the Tarot, the more often I get precognitive or clairvoyant flashes triggered by the cards--the image on a card will trigger a certain image in my mind, and I just "know" what it is referring to with complete certainty.
