How do you go about finding an aura? Or tuning in with another's aura, besides your own? I'm new at this, and need some ideas, as I haven't read much on the how's and why's of Aura's.
Thanks.

My study group has been working on sensing auras recently. I have a horrible time seeing colors in auras. I can sense them. I can see how far they extend from the body. I can feel them. Sometimes I 'know' what color they are, but I still can't see the colors. *sigh*
Try using Google.com and look for "seeing auras". Happy searching, reading, and learning.

I myself started with a little book called Psychic Self Defense...*brain freeze* I can't remember the author I'll have to check and let you know. This book has some really good visualization exercices that teach you how to change the colour and in turn the effect that your own Aura has at the time you are doing it. I found, personally, that as I got stronger in my visualization techiniques that I was able to pick out the Auras of others much easier. I have to say tho sometimes it's not really a good feeling...I seem to be extra good at seeing the yuckie ones..meaning people who arent very happy or have something going on, on a physical level. But I am however very good at stretching my own psychic barriers to encompass what I like! For instance I had an ex bf who was a really agressive driver and everytime I had to be in the car with him I would literally feel sick so i started to use one of the visualization techniques to bubble the car...may sound a little odd but let me tell you it really worked for me..Anyway *babbling* Check out the book if you can you may find it helpful too...even if its just a quick skim in the bookstore to see if it intersts you!

In high school I used to goof off with my friends, pretending I could read their auras. I would stand behind one person, put my hands some distance from their head and move them around like I was feeling the aura. After a couple times of doing this, I actually COULD feel the aura. Or at least I thought. The thing about me is that I have a hard time grasping what is real and what is not. It could have been my imagination, but maybe I really was feeling it.
I'd start saying whatever came to mind. I could 'see' colors. Seems to me, alot of auras tend to be turquoise or green, some kinda yellow gold. I would let myself see whatever color came to mind first, kinda like brainstorming, letting it come as it wanted to. So I guess I practiced that way...
Then I'd say things like "You're having chicken for dinner tonight" or "your body is having *insert random reaction*" and they'd always say it was true.
I stopped doing this when, one morning, I was doing the 'aura grope' to a friend named Tye. Out of the blue, I said something to the effect of "Have you lost a family member recently?" and she said no. That was all fine and dandy, we can't always be right, can we?
Well, half an hour later she got a call from her mom or something, saying that her neice, who was having some kind of health complications, died earlier that morning.
I had no clue about her neice.
There was a rather large group gathered around when I said that about her neice, so needless to say, I got looked at strangely by quite a few people for quite awhile. Coincidence? Who knows. I'd really like to get back to doing the aura groping thing though...
The moral of this post: Let things come naturally; thoughts, feelings, reactions, even colors can come to you. I think that the more you let yourself be open to that, the more you can easily interpret stuffs.
Anyhow... that's just what's happened with me. Hope that helps.

A very simple way to start feeling and seeing auras is to place
both of your hands together, with fingertips touching open palmed
and to slowly move them apart.after you have moved them a inch
from each other, then slowly push your hands together again, trying
this a few times you should start to feel pressure pushing back at
your hands/palms,when you feel this pressure, then simply build
on that by cupping both of your hands together, and visualizing a
swirling circle, when you get to the point of this, you can start to
focus at your hands and it wont be long till you start seeing the
colors of your own aura, this is also a mudra posture.it might take
a little bit of time till you can do all these steps, but if your really
wanting to see auras its best to start trying to see your own.

it is just a exercise to help a person feel there own aura, and a
way for them to practice on seeing it.

I can do reflexology....and you're supposed to "comb the aura" to get rid of something or other. And there is definalty something there. If you do it right....(sometimes it doesn't work for me) you feel like a tingle. As you move futher and further away from the skin it goes away. but when your really close you can feel it and the other person can too. It's almost like if you stare at somebody they will after a while look at you. its weird....but i think it's cool.

if you are looking for further information on auras try searching for the electromagnetic wave spectrum.

something simple i found to help in learning to "read" auras is to meditate on the different colors
of the specturm and associate each color with different emotions.
most every book ive ever found on aura reading is pretty well crap, cause they give associations of
what each color is supposed to mean, its best to learn those on your own.
if your having trouble in seeing auras and your wanting to learn how too, then best exercise i can
give is to meditate while laying down with a quartz stone on your forehead "3rd eye" there wont be
any kind of guessing when that chakra opens, you'll know lol..
