I've been having these dreams lately. All of them center around apartments. I live in my parents house in suburbia and haven't lived in an apartment in almost a year. I'm not sure what these dreams are telling me. In all the dreams, I'm living in the apartment complex and doing something near there with friends. It seems very comforting and joyful but for some reason, when I wake up, I feel apprehensive. Any advice? I think it may have something to do with the freedom of being independent and on my own but the apprehension is fear of letting freedom pull me under to forgetting responsibilities.

It could be that at some level you really do desire the freedom and independence of living on your own. You sub-conscious is using your dreams to express that desire and to remind you of what that felt like. The apprehension when you wake up? Could just come from the struggle between wanting something you don't/can't have right now, and accepting the reality of what you do/can have.
