View Full Version : A message from my father ...

I've had a few dreams where my father has come to see me - he passed away in April from deep vein thrombosis - then coded in the ambulance on the way to hospital.

There is one dream that bugs the crap out of me, because it's not finished.

I dreamed I was with a small group of friends, and we were at some kind of amusement park. We went to go on a ride.

To get to the ride, you have to go inside a building first.

We went inside, and before I got to where we sat down on the ride, I saw my dad.

He was sitting in this booth... the kind of booth that's in the corner of a restaurant. It was square, not rounded, and the booth was about the color of the red strips you see on this site. The table was grey formica.

He was wearing this shirt (http://www.libragrrl.com/gallery/frankfurtgermany/Ray_Frankfurt_Opera_Square) with a red tie.

I said I was happy to see him and that I missed him. He said to me, "I have something important to tell you." I asked him if he could wait before he told me for some reason b/c I really wanted to go on this amusement park ride. As I started to get out of my seat he grabbed ahold of my arm and looked at me very seriously and said, "No, I have something VERY IMPORTANT to tell you!" I could tell it was serious because he had this grave, earnest look in his face.

Then the dream ended, and that was it. I've tried praying, chanting, even just thinking to him to tell me what was so important, and I have yet to hear from him about this.

Any clues, ideas, about this dream? or what I could do to go back to this?

In my personal opinion, I have come to believe that dreams can be an open "playground", if you will, to those who have passed, as in our sleeping moments, our current mental state takes a sort of spiritual jump. From the way you describe it, I feel that your dream may be one of those moments.

On one level of thinking, this may be a small message from your father, and if not him, then a word of warning from your inner mind. Though if this is infact from your father, he may indeed be choosing to leave the dream unfinished by his own will. The absence of resolution may be the lesson he is trying to teach you for your life right now.

Perhaps the sudden cut off of the climax of your dream has a message within it that only you could truly know the meaning to. He ends the dream in telling you that he has something gravely important to say...but the dream has ended before the chance is given. I feel this abstract ending is the absolute most critical part of your dream. Perhaps you are not meant to know what he is about to say. Perhaps he is trying to tell you to listen more...to your friends, your family and all your loved ones. It may even be a small warning towards a dear relationship of yours if you are falling out of touch with one of your loved ones.

Good luck to you in finding your answer.

(((libragrrl))) I think Raihn said what I would, and much better than I could! I hope you find your answer soon, too.
