I have heard that it is common to see yourself completley different than in waking life, and see yourself as more of who you are in the dream time. If you have ever seen yourself in your dreams, what do you look like?

My Dreams never make sense really, so I can't honestly say. Usually in my deams I seem confused....and that seems to suit me! lol
I think thatin dreams we do see outrselves without seeing "what we want to see" or any negative ideas we ahve about ourselves, the mind is free from interpreation and manipulation.

I've only ever gotten impressions of myself, which tends to be a nondescript person with brown hair.
Man, my subconsciousness sure is creative.

I really don't see myself, either, although it would be interesting to try and guide myself to a mirror in a dream. Never really tried to manipulate my dreams, but it could be fun. ;)
I do get a sense of myself in dreams, though, and I always feel like I'm more fully myself, if that makes sense. All my emotions are raw and right on the surface; nothing hidden away. I'm most in tune with myself during my more, ummm...erotic dreams. *grin*

I don't see myself very often in dreams but when I do, I have curly long brown hair (pretty much like I do in r/l), but I'm better looking, slim, and for some reason, I have green eyes (my eyes are brown). Maybe that's just wishful thinking?

I rarely see myself in dreams except for the occasional event of looking into a mirror in the dream... I had one of these dreams fairly recently... I looked almost exactly the same, except I was having a good hair day and was a few pounds lighter! My dreamself seems to be stuck at age 21 (where I actually did have the good hair and gorgeous figure!) I think maybe we seen an idealized picture of ourselves in dreams, if we see ourselves at all... There's also theories that the "you" in your dreams is your astral body, and some would say that that is either a body of light or an almost apparition of your physical self. Most of the dreams I have though I see everything through my own eyes, not like I'm watching a movie... In fact I have very few dreams that I'm not a part of the story.

That's an intersting question...I don't think I've ever seen myself in my dreams. Come to think of it, it's prety unusual for me to have a dream that I am actually part of (as opposed to just sort of watching it, like a movie)...Hmmm. I've never really thought about that before.

But usually I'm focused outward.

I rarely see myself, but I can normally "feel" what I'm like, but I think I must be weird..I'm normally a different person depending on the dream, so its not like I'm always one person. Sometimes I'm a guy, a child, a teen, or an old woman and sometimes more than one in one dream. Sometimes I have black hair, sometimes its brown, and other times its white. It all really depends on where my dream is and what's going on... :whatmewor

I actually never thought of looking, I'm usually too busy trying to figure out what I'm doing in the dream.:rollingla:

Same here. In fact, I tend to be every character in my dreams. Bad guys, good guys, guides and scenery fillers, they're all me.

hmm... I have to admit that I've never "seen" myself in my dreams; I'm always just ME... :)

In my dreams, I think I just see the aura of myself, my family and my friends. Same in my imagining about people (especially since I don't know what most of my friends look like; as they are online friends). I don't really imagine on looks as much as I do on what the colour of the overall personality is. I think that i'm a light aubornish brown.

I tend to spend an equal amount of time viewing my dreams through my own eyes, as well as some objective viewer above.
My build is always identical to what it is in real life, except that my skin is more pale, my eyes are a light blue, my hair is straight, platinum white, and a bit longer than now, and I am most often dressed in a white robe.
Of course, what sort of idiot am I to be wearing white when normally I am being chased through dark, filthy, forests by horrendous creatures in my dreams? I'm sure the only reason I ever wake up is because I look down at myself and think "Geeze, I look like crap. Time to wake up before this nightmare becomes worse!"

an unusual question, indeed :) love it :)
i do not always see myself in my dreams, but when i do, i find that i look like what i would like to look like in 'real life'.
i am taller than i am, my skin is very white, and my hair is almost black and VERY long.
and sometimes i almost look like one of the anime characters :)

I have never seen myself in a dream, nor do I have any perception of myself being a certain way.
Although, I do have frequencies where I am not quite a solid human being. Almost a misty/air/fog/spirit/essence.

oo..i only wish that i could look how i am in my dreams. I am a warrior looking women, with tan skin.. and a lean body. Only my hair color always changes in my dreams. Everything else is the same. Tall, fit, tan, oo.. and well porportioned. I see myself alot because I dream in outer dreams..like you watch yourself do things..etc.
