ok this dream came to me last night while I lay asleep for once in my bed with my oldest son next to me:

"I was walking down a dark, stone corridor. Torches, which we're bolted to the wall, gave the only light in the hall. The farther I walked down the hall the colder it got, and the louder an well... 'evil' laugh got. When I reached the antichamber at the end the hall about 10 torches lit at once. In front of my was a stone door and chisled on this door was the rune of protection. I opened the door to reveal the main chamber, at the very heart of this chamber was a single ray of light, it fell upon the figure of my oldest son. Then suddenly the laughter stopped, and my son's body rose into the air, almost like levitation. Then he raised his head, seeing me, and screamed "Daddy!" then dissapeared."

That is where I woke up. Now here is the chilling part, my son woke up at the same exact time as I did and told me about a dream that he had just had. That dream was the exact same as mine.

Normally I am not one to be scared of dreams but this one is just freaking me out.

Any help will be greatly and truly appreciated,

I'd cleanse your home if I were you. Do a blessing on your son while you're at it.

I'm going to go just with what intuition tells me. I could be way off, but...

The corridor was dark and made of stone, a symbol of age and ancient existence. The place where you were in this dream was timeless and everlasting. This represents your family history. The torches were those who passed before you. If you don't already get "messages" from the other side... expect them. Often "evil" laughs are laughs of pride and... well, I'm sensing egotism. Someone, way back, knew you were coming and was thrilled that they were right... I have no idea what they were right about, but... Anyway, the runes of protection symbolize safety. The dream wasn't sent to warn you, but to bring you a message. You are safe in this place, though it is uncomfortable. I get the idea that you have issues with your extended family... which would explain why you might not be connected to your ancestors. The light symbolizes blessing and it is falling upon your son. The fact that he is your OLDEST son suggests a patriarchal system of blessing throughout the generations of your family. The silence when your son's body rose is the silence of awe and wonder... The fear in his voice speaks of being unsure if he is ready or not... He disappeared... He hid. He was hiding from the blessing and from fear of not attaining what he can.

I think the dream is telling you that there is a wonderful future for your son, but it may be difficult to attain and he may often feel inadequate. I get the idea there is some blessing from many generations ago that is coming on your son...

Once again, I could be SOOOO far off... but I'm getting strong feelings.

I'm just full of questions.
Ask anyone who knows me.

From reading AmbivalentMirage's post, I'm curious...
Is your son named after an ancestor?

Okay well here is an update of what has happened since I last read this post. I took everything that was said into consideration and I talked to my son about it and I have a feeling that AmbivalentMirage is right because I asked my son when he saw hisself in the light if he was scared, he answered "no" when I asked him when he saw hisself floating in the air and dissapearing if ihe felt scared, he answered "no, when I asked him he felt nervous he answered "yes". And I know where I was in the dream, in my possession, unknown to me, is the site of an ancient ritual ground that has been in my family, which was willed to me by my father, apparently my really great-grandfather(from the 18th century) was pagan and extremely rich so he had the site built and under the site he had this secret chamber where the pagans of the community could go and practice in peace away from prying eyes. When you open the door to the underground chamber it is solid stone, To make a long story short it is the same exact chamber that I saw in my dream, or at least that is what i got from my father's diary. I am hoping to take a trip down there during the holidays to see this chamber. So that is pretty much what has happened since then.

That's interesting. Use caution on your visit. Just becuase it's family doesn't mean it's benevolent.

okay here is what is going to happen,

I am going to be going to be leaving for the ritual ground tomorrow I will arrive by tuesday and then I will stay there for four days hopfully so I can pick up something maybe in a dream, the kids will be coming with me incase they are of help, I will be leaving the baby with a friend on base. With any luck I will be able to walk away with a clear understanding of my dream. Who knows what I will find, I was just told last night that there was an ancient library in the grounds, well actually, it was not really told, I saw it in a dream, it was one of the dreams that lasted for the whole night, but you only see the dream for like 10 minutes.

Send some helpful energy

By the Gods,

Don't you just love technology, I am out the ritual site as of now using a laptop with a satelite communicator, sheesh, although I did have a good nights rest and meditation, I have not picked up on anything yet. Although a really strange thing happened when I tried to boot up my laptop and comm system... It would not turn on until I left the immediate area of the grounds, I am currently sitting in a field adjacent to the grounds while the kids play near the pond. I wonder why I can't boot up my computer near the grounds. Today I am going to go exploring the underground chamber and forechamber. hopefully I will be able to find the library today as well so I can catch up on some light reading, LOL. I was wondering when I find the library do you think that I should leave the books as they remain or if I should transfer them to the library at the Manor? Because they would be better protected at the manor as I have a state-of-the-art security system. But then would it be bad if I disturbed their resting place? Any advice that you can give would be greatly appreciated, I will attemp to check the post ASAP. Depends on what I am doing.

BTW,
I made great time on the trip I arrived one hour sooner than expected.

Forever Yours,

Forever Yours,

Read the books first, then combine what you learn from them with your intuition to decide if they should be moved. Trust yourself to make a good decision, but be prudent. Blessings and good luck!

That is what I was going to do, but I just wanted to get some opinions from other people as well.

Well here is an update,

I went into the chamber today, it was really kind of cool,

The entrance to the underground chamber is inside of a really old two story house, it still has all of the original furniture and it has not been vandalized. So I am extremely pleased with that, the house inside is really spooky almost as if there are still spirits in the house which I am not so sure that there isn't any there. There are no electrical outlets or electrical anything only lanterns, There is a library inside the house but it is not the library that I am looking for in particular. It has a lot of really great books in it though. I am deciding on moving all of the books in that library to the Manor so I can restore them, what I am going to do is restor everything that I can transport back to the manor then I am going to restore the house which I have deemed "The Sanctuary" then move everything back there. I am going to have to modernize the house a litte, you know electricity, hot water heaters, the sort. and then I am going to use the house as a retreat kind of thing or maybe when I become old and grey I am going to live in it and let the kids live in the Manor. That will be kind of nice. Well anyway the bedrooms have these really old and magnificent four poster beds in them and old ornate dressers. The kitchen has all of the old cast iron pots. No utensils though... an old woodburning stove. Oh and back to the library in it is a really old, what appears to be mahogany, desk with parchement documents written in a weird language, unlike any that I have seen before, and I have seen a lot. Ok and the doorway is a secret door that is inside of the library. It is behind the desk in the wall. If you didn't know that it was there you would never be able to find it. The pathway is exactly as it was in my dream minus the torches being lit. The chamber door was exactly the same too... but inside I could not see anthing so I did not explore to much... as it was dusk so I am going to wait until the day to explore. So there will hopefully be a little more light. I have made camp in the field which is where I am now hacking away on the keyboard to the laptop. I brought a few weapons for protection although I do not know from what... Anywho I had better try and get the kids to sleep.

Forever Yours,

Joshua

So far so good!

Vampy
December 24th, 2003, 07:59 PM
yea so far so good.

I have found what appears to be the entrance to the library, it is sealed somehow so I have to find a way to get in.

I also found a weapons room inside "The Sanctuary" That was pretty neat. Inside are some old muskets and a pair of dueling pistols. There was also swords and knives katanas, and all kinds of weapons. But what I found most confusing was that there was a .44 Cal. Colt Revolver with some kind of bone handle there. Now that is a pretty modern weapon. Not to mention expensive. I wonder if it means that someone has been there before, but I could find no evidence to that other than the gun.

As of right now I am laying on a sleeping bag and the kids are cuddled up next to me sleeping, they have had a long day. No dreams have happened yet. Although my oldest son is getting really tense.

Wonder why.

Forever Wondering,

Joshua

...my oldest son is getting really tense. Wonder why.

Gosh, can't imagine where his discomfort might be coming from. Of course I don't need to tell you to keep him well protected. Please keep the reports coming, it's very interesting!

Okay Sit-rep,

I found the library and was able to enter... I looked at the books and decided to bring them home so I can start deciphering them... they are in a language that I have never seen before. So I am going to translate them.

We are back at The Manor and my oldest has relaxed.

I asked him what was wrong and he told me that he did not want to disappear *like in the dream*

So he is a lot better now...

I will keep posting my results on the translations...

Forever Yours,

Joshua

Wow! What were your overall impressions of being in there? Feel scared, relaxed, what? Good luck with the translation. Are they symbols or letters? Could the writing be code? Keep the sitreps coming.

I was a little nervous about being there. I did not know what to expect. Thank you for the luck on the translations, they are a combo of symbols and letters.

As for the sit-reps they will continue on coming.

Have a Happy New Year

Ok guys I am not getting very far on the translations... so what I am going to try to do is translate it into an ancient text and then try and translate it into modern text. Who knows... I am running my Data Base Servers nonstop trying to get this translated... it has over 1,000 languages and dialects on it... who knows....

I might end up translating it by hand... like I aint got nothing better to do.

P.S: Check out my pics in the Pics Of Our Kiddos thread.
