I really like this website, written by a hellenic polytheist. There is lots of information written about hellenismos, general essays on paganism, and general writings, some of which are very funny. The author isn't overly hostile, and presents arguments in a logical, calm way.

I like it too. But his rants against Wicca and his complex of superiority over the fluffbunnies is getting quite old.

What do you think of this article?
Sunrise — a Wiccan finds Apollo and Hellenismos (http://www.winterscapes.com/sannion/sunrise.htm)
I think that article is a concentration of the chips reconstructionists have on their shoulders with regard to Wicca.

I disagree. It could also be read as a concentraction of the chips Wiccans have on their shoulders in regard to Reconstructionists.
Personally however, I think it's neither. As an article it goes a far way in explaining some of the vast differences between Wiccan and Reconstructionist beliefs. And Recons have no more chips on their shoulders when it comes to Wiccans than Wiccans do when it comes to Recons.

I think it was illustrating the differences between Reconstructiuonists and certain types of Wiccans. The types that are most likely to be critical of Recon Religions and historical accuracy in general. A lot of the criticism that the Wiccans in the article leveled at Amber are things that Recons do hear from those sorts of Wiccans and pagans. Personally I think it was a well written story where Sannion was venting his frustrations with some Wiccans.
That's not to say all Wiccans would react the same way as those in the story did. Amber could've easily belonged to a coven, that would've directed her to Hellenismos, or where she would've been able to stay in the coven and keep her relationship with Apollo.

OMG. I'm surprised to find this here! I used to talk to San all the time on AOL, but it seems that he's disappeared. Last I heard, he was trying to publish a book. I'm glad it's been posted here. :)
I'm not into reconstructionism, but lately I've been getting a slight taste for things Egyptian - which he has currently dipped his paws into. :) He has a lot of great info on Greek Reconstructionism, and he has a lot of material for ritual and worship. :)
