Authors and other... I need a little help here... I'm planning on writing a novel at the moment.
It's all a little wierd and strange in my mind right now, but I was wondering if I could solicit some help.

I need 13 moderate (1-4 line) quotations about the end of the world from any religion or tradition you guys can think of to start each of my chapters.

Just post away! :colorful:

I suggest you check Bartlett's Familiar Quotations, or the Oxford Dictionary of Quotations. You can probably find something in there.

Egads! What kind of quotes? Inspirational? Doom and gloom?

Either, anything...

I know that the traditional Hindu Stories have the end of the world when Brahmin wakes up... just stories of that nature. What the end of the world is, for good or for bad...

Not from a religious tradition, but still one of my favorites:

This is the way the world ends
This is the way the world ends
This is the way the world ends
Not with a bang but a whimper.

from "The Hollow Men", T.S. Eliot (1925)

Oh, and this one too:

Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To know that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.

"Fire and Ice", Robert Frost (1920)

I love "Fire & Ice" - very good quote

Rina, be careful which quotations you choose, as you could have problems with copyright when you submit the book to agents/publishers. Copyright permissions can be difficult to obtain, and cause much delay and heartache. It would be safest to choose quotes that are out of copyright - ie where the originator of the words has been dead for more than seventy years.
