Night before last Navarro College basket ball players were leaving the game to go out and eat the then go back to the school. They were in two vans, the driver of the first van realized that they were going the wrong direction and made a U turn. The second van followed. The driver must not have been paying attention, because in the middle of the u turn he was broadsided by and 18 wheeler. Two of the players were killed and several others hurt. 4 at last count were still in the hospital. The school is very torn up about it, needless to say. There were three memorials yesterday. One of the killed was African and they had a Muslum memorial in his honor.
Now I didn't personally know the two killed, though one or two of the players have been in my classes from time to time.
Please just keep them and their families in mind when you say your prayers, or meditations.
Not for me please. But for them and for the other young people at my school that are having to face this with probably little experience as how to handle this.
There wer three or four TV trucks at the school all day yesterday. The press kept trying to get back to the dorms, trying to trick students etc.
Most of the teachers cancelled their classes. I had tests scheduled, but postponed them.
Anyway. Just needed to tell you guys.

and Bilal was in my Art Appreciation Class. I'd forgotten that he was with the Basket ball team.
