:sadman: My friends. My supervisor at work (and as I found out from him today) one of the "inner circle" of the 1960s west coast rock & roll /psychedelic bands is battling a cancer that has the doctors stumped and I plead for you to join with me in giving him any energy you can to help ease his pain and give him strength as he battles for his life.
Oh gods this hurts...Nick was my boss for 8 years. last yr, he was found to have cancer and through chemo, etc. he had it well in remission. Then in Oct. of last year he had a heart attack and a quintuple heart bypass. (hes ~64 yrs old). he was kicking butt on that also. then last month he was attacked by cancer again. This time........:goodgrief
Today I went by his place and he pulled out 2 photo albums. Today I found out his past which he's never really spoke of. He was the guitarist/singer in a band called The PH Phactor Jug Band. No it didn't ring a bell to THIS old man either. But other elders will remember the headliners they fronted for.
-The Grateful Dead
-Quicksilver Messenger Service
-Buffalo Springfield
- Country Joe & the Fish
-Martha & the Vandellas......
The list goes on.

They were front center in the Seattle/Portland/Frisco club scene during the mid-late 60s.
A very brave and strong man. One I am extremely honored to call Brother and friend. And it kills me to see the pain he is in. Pain that even morphine and maranol won't dull any more.
His family and I thank you from the bottom of our heart.

Energy sent to ease his pain and give him strength.
I actually might have seen him. Don't know for sure, but in 66, or 67 can't remember I went to an outdoor rock festival,(this was way before Woodstock) I don't remember everyone I saw, but I do remember, Jefferson Airplane, Country Joe and the Fish, The Grass Roots, The Byrds, The Seeds, Every Mother's Son. Hugh Masakala, Penny Nickle
I don't even remember the rest. I didn't see Cream, Strawberry Alarm Clock and The Grateful Dead because they were there the day before. This was on top of Mt Tamelpaes (forgive my spelling) north of San Francisco. The Hells Angels were security. Yep all that good stuff.
So yea, he coulda been there.
All my best to him and his family. It's awsome that you got to hear those stories from him.

Energy sent to cope with the pain. My mother was in so much pain from the cancer at the end that she needed so much morphine that she was basically in a coma. What a sad way to leave this life. One evening I asked them to lower the dosage so that she would be able to know that we were there for her, and she was in such pain that I felt horrible and guilty. It's so hard to know what the best thing is in such a sad situation. May the gods of rock and roll give your friend, his doctors and nurses, and his family and friends the wisdom to do what is best for him now.

(((strength and healing, love and light, courage and peace)))
I have been through this with family members and it's very hard to watch. Twig you need to grieve for the news and you need to be there for your friend as much as possible.
It's as important for you as it is for him. Rest as much as possible.

Well give him a hug and a kiss for me and tell him that he-in part- was responsible for one of my favorite memories.
Hugs and energy for you too.

Twig using your friends picture as a focus I am sending a releasing energy to him, that he may go forward into the Summerlands and find peac and contetment there. That the pain he feels will leave his body and he will know only wholeness in the passing. May those he leaves behind including yourself find joy in his release from pain and illness. May they have calm and balance to face life without him. I do so relase this dear friend in your life, your brother in spirit and say Blessed be.
