Recently I bought a bag of glass-like stones,{about the diameter of a quarter, and they resemble the stones you'd put in a fish tank} for the purpose of 'engraving' the runes onto them.
I tried using some sharp scissors, that didn't work. I have yet to try a knife or something along those lines, but I was wondering if anyone else has an idea of how to engrave them...
They're really nice stones so I'm looking forward to the end product. I'll post a pic when they're done.

Hi there,
We have a store in our malls called "Things Remembered". I don't know where you are or if you have these stores...they do engraving on different metals etc. and on glass...of course they only have english letters :D...BUT I would think you could get some flat rubber pieces, maybe 1/8 inch thick and carve the rune symbols in them....then maybe you caould take it to the store and they would sandblast it for you...any engraving type place should have a similar set up with a glass sandblaster.
Hope I helped.
