View Full Version : Baby Goat-Girl...

Dear folks... a couple weeks ago I had a lovely baby girl goat born here. I posted pics on Just talk...
The day after she was born, I found her nearly ground into the muck and so close to dead i didn't think she was going to make it another hour.
However, she's now perky, vocal, and gaining weight! she's also growing nicely and recovering from a terrible infection in her eye that may have taken the sight in that eye.
My biggest trouble right now, is that in the time it took to bring her back from the brink, i believe her muscles in her front legs particularly, have atrophied somewhat.
My husband has been doing crystalhealing on her to help strengthen them, and I am planning on doing a particular ritual for her this afternoon.
I expect to perform this at around 2pm EDT. any extra energy you could send out would be greatly appriciated!!
She's not a human child suffering... she's not a 'familiar'.... but she does need help.
thank you.

Baby goats are so adorable!!!! **sends energy to the little kid**
Oh, also.... in addition to the crystal healing and ritual, use touch therapy. Work her muscles evenly for a few minutes each day (like taking each leg/hoof and moving it for her a few times in a way that is natural for her body to move, and then move on to the next leg/hoof) and give her reassuring daily massages while talking softly to her or singing. Go in clockwise little circles with two or three fingers and massage all of her muscles during each session. It's been shown to make human babies develop stronger and healthier far faster than ones that haven't had this kind of touch therapy, so it ought to work on animals, too.

Lots of healing and warmth for the kid and luck for you, you've done so well for her already I'm sure she'll come through this fine as well.

I just love little goats. I hope that she is better and I agree with Nefer. You must exercise the legs.
I hope someday to have a couple of goats, and some chickens. I'd like to learn to make cheese..not from chicken milk but goats milk...
Let us know how she is doing and what you name her.

I took your advice, Nefer, and ....::wiggles:: today.. she stood three times ON HER OWN for about 10-15 seconds each time!!!!!
I am so excited!! she hasn't stood at all since she was two days old....
she likes to hear how pretty and smart she is.. and she likes Nursery rhyme songs and Irish laments lol
Her eye is doing way better too, still swollen, but going down. And the cloudy is actually clearing up! well.. except for over the pupil. It's doubtful she'll see out of that eye ever, but she'll be fine!
Saturday she's going to the vet for her eye and a check up.
Thank you ALL soooo much for the extra energies and the advice! May Flidais bless you and yours in more ways than you can count!

Just checking in, how did the little one's check up go? I'm so happy to hear she's managing to stand at last.

That's wonderful! Believe it or not, it's actually the best news I've heard all week. I'm so glad she's doing so well.

Check up went ok... her eye has almost no swelling now. We had a little relapse in the standing though when she rocked herself so hard that she pulled a muscle in her back leg.
I think it's still a little sore, but she's able now to get her front half up all on her own!
As soon as i get over this dumb cold, i'm going to refresh the healing spell. If anyone cares to help out, i'll post the day and time that i'm working the spell.
Bless you all for your sweet efforts and caring!!

Sorry... got really excited. Anyway... I had created this kind of Jolly Jumper thing for her.. like a baby swing kind of thing, you know? and had her in it an hour or so during the day and at mealtimes. her feet would touch the floor and she'd be able to puch up and practice standing. anyhow... this past sunday night, my brother and i were playing with her and talking about her and what else might be done for her when he says "there's something wrong with her hip here... well.. Long story short: I popped the hip back into place and today.. a little after 7pm EST she stood.. then walked for the first time in a little over five weeks!! YAY!
Here's the Pic to prove it:
