I'm not sure if I ever posted about being tired and worn out all the time, but I found out why today. For the last few days, I've had weakness, dizziness, lightheadedness and constant fatigue, even after a good night's rest. I decided to go to the hospital around 4 this morning to find out what's going on. They ran tests on me for about 4 hours and lab tests shown that I have a thyroid problem. My blood pressure was also very high, around 200 over 140. From what I read though, the thyroid can cause blood pressure to either rise or fall. I just knew something was wrong just by the way I have been feeling, and these symptoms have been reocurring frequently over the last few years, so I've probably had this for awhile and just never knew it could be this serious.
I have an appointment at a clinic tomorrow (it's for ppl with no job or insurance, thank the stars above) and they're probably going to run more tests to be sure this is the problem so they can find treatment for me. I'll probably have to go on medicine for a period of time or the rest of my life. The hospital also helped me get 2 weeks worth of medicine for my blood pressure to keep it down. So I'm hoping to get better soon. I'm just very, very thankful it's notihng life threatening. High blood pressure can be, but now I know the cause of it.
