New Moon rituals for solitary newbies?

Does anyone out there have suggestions for new moon ceremonies for a solitary newbie. I would like to do something to mark Friday's new moon, but am at a loss. Any ideas? Thank you for your time.

To confuse you a bit some Pagans call the "New Moon" the Dark Moon. To some it includes the day before and after. Some consider it a time where no Magick or ritual is done. It can be viewed as a time to reflect on what has happened to you in the last Moon, how you have grown and what to focus on in the next Moon. There are some rituals you can do at this time but I can't remember them off the top of my head. When the Moon starts waxing again is what some Pagans consider the New Moon.
