Suicide ???

i had a dream about an old friend of mine whom i havent spoken to in literally almost 1 yr.

I seem to be dreaming alot of this person lately, and most dreams seem to be whats going on in their life.

Anyway,I had one a couple days ago that implied (at least i *think*) something about my friend and suicide.

Im just wondering if there are any insights about what this good mean?

Are they in a depression, like a really shity one or what?

My boyfriend had a dream once of someone he vaguely knew jumping out of a window, and found out a week later that that person had died of a heart attack the night he had the dream.

Well, what were the dreams about in detail? Also, you must realize that what others say are only suggestions. Only you can decide what your mind/intuition is telling you. I've helped out with a lot of dream interpretations here at MW, check some others out for more advice.

What this may actually be is something your friend represents to you dying out. Think of it in a wide variety of metaphorical perceptions, as dreams tend to most often be vague that way.

Well, as I do not know you or your friend on a personal level, I can only give bits of information that I feel fits, and as Lucius has said, we can only give suggestions...but here is my opinion on the matter...=)

Suicide is a form of death in dreams, and a desperate one at that. Death, in the many ways it shows itself, always seems to represent the same theme: Starting over or change. Now, dreams are interesting in the way that they are very rarely literal about their translation, and your old friend that you saw most likely does not "represent themselves". In other words, I believe your old friend is displaying something of your life. Perhaps you wish to begin a new friendship with someone but are shy to engage in it...or you may be having stress in a relationship with another person. Basically, I think that this dream is a symbol of lifestyle or relationship change and your mind is just reflecting that message back to you, but as you did not go into much detail, I can only speculate.
