Help,I need help! I've a friend who doesn't know anything about Wicca or Witchcraft but she saw many movies with spirits and now,she wants to call them! To do spiritism! She can meet any spirits, good or BAD if she does that! I don't really know about spirits but I know when you try to "call" someone or something, you'd better have a powerful circle to protect you,and she doesn't even know what a circle is!
HElp me please! Should she do this? How can I convince her to let it go?

Make her call them collect. That will make them mad. There is no currency in the spirit world. And no one wants to owe AT&T any money.
No seriously, if she has no prior knowledge of what she is doing, she should be fairly harmless to herself.

Or she could do some serious harm - check out some of the other threads on the Ouija boards, etc. by using the search function - some of the members' experiences are downright frightening.

You have a good point, my sister had a really scary ordeal with an Ouija Board some time ago. I do remember that she was pretty shook up about it.

*nods* my cousin, a friend and I had a horrible experience one time with the ouija board - suffice to say, I won't have a thing to do with them unless I've got a circle up and someone else with me. My cousin refuses to have ANYthing to do with them.

Then is it an aspect or something developed by wiccans? The practice of using the board I mean.

Using Ouija boards as an oracle/divinatory tool? It's not necessarily Pagan/Wiccan - my cousin and our friend weren't then and aren't now Wiccan, and I wasn't Pagan at the time either. And others who've used Ouija boards with nasty outcomes aren't always Wiccan or even Pagan; although the practice of casting a protective circle before divining may be - I personally don't know anyone who has casted a circle beforehand who hasn't been Wiccan/Pagan. But that's not to say those who aren't don't necessarily have protective measures nearby (i.e. a cross, crystals, salt, etc.)
If any of that makes sense.

Would you feel comfortable trying to explain to her what could happen if she does this? Try telling her, that in your belief structure this could potentially lead to calling out negative-intending spirits (I don't care to think that they're bad, they just have bad intentions). Perhaps it'd be easier if you suggested that she called back someone she knew, like an old relative who died. I have an interesting ancestor contact ritual that I use on days like Dia de los Muertos, if you want it you can PM me. If she'd really rather contact someone who she doesn't know, or doesn't believe in contacting her relatives, I'd suggest making her research it beforehand, and if you can invite someone who has experience with it.. I've never done a true Quija board, but I do often speak with my akhu (beloved dead).

have your friend read what they have to say here. It's a book on Ouija at amazon.

Why stop her? Magical evolution in action. :D
Seriously, though, your only responsibility is to inform her that it's a really, really bad idea and she should at the very least pick up "The Idiot's Guide to the Lesser Key of Solomon" (and yes, I've seen something along those lines - it scared me greatly) first.
