Ok....this was really strange...but I'm not sure if my former christian beliefs aren't playing with my subconcious. Here's what happened.
I'm meditating...and I see the earth...like from space. It's beautiful and rotating against the blackness and as I watching, I'm thinking how amazingly beautiful it is and how it's no wonder people worship mother earth...she's powerful, sustains life, full of energy...then, this voice says to me "Do not worship me"...and it's a MALE??? It said "I am but a child of the one true god, as are you. Only where you chose to come back multiple times for short periods, I came for one long one.....for the good of all, and for the good of the one".
That was it.....It was REALLY strange. What do you make of it???

I love it! And I do not feel that your dream has very much to do with your former beliefs, just the memory of them.
I would not call it a "sign", though others may lable it as such...only that your subconscious, I think, is bringing up old concepts and replaying them for you. You may have recently fallen under a creative spell or are going into one. Religious figures, such as the Christ and so forth, very much represent the creative mindset.
But it was a very entertaining dream, Faeawyn. :)

I really can't say what it was or meant. How did it make you feel? Did it make you feel awe?
But I do find it interesting that you heard a male voice when you were thinking in terms of the earth as female. Maybe it's because you were indoctrinated that the "Voice of Authority" in religion is male. Or maybe we've got it wrong and the spirit of Earth" is a male-voiced spirit? Or maybe Mother Earth has a very deep voice?
At any rate, what the voice had to say is even more interesting to me than the "sex" of the voice.
We reach out,we want to hear something from somewhere out there, then when we (maybe) do, we still aren't sure what's going on...Especially if we don't hear exactly what we wanted to hear, or expected to hear. We're like...
"Like, hey, would you mind repeating, explaining...hey come back here...! I'm not finished asking questions...!" And then we say to ourselves like the old Lone Ranger show "Who WAS that masked man?""
We all "believe" in spirits, but if they speak we do our best to rationalize them away...I wonder why.
So, was it a lucid dream or a real voice? Only you can decide.

Phi, your responses cracked me up
I felt in awe when I was looking at the earth and thinking about how worthy it is of being looked at as a powerful being.....but I was totally blown away by the voice and what it had to say. I wasn't expecting a male voice....but I found what it had to say somewhat profound. I never considered the earth as a living entity possessing a soul and simply fulfilling it's destiny as any other living being. I did consider it living....but just never thought about it having a soul. But when the voice said the earth was simply another child of the one god......it confused me and got me thinking. Almost all of my meditative visions are pretty lucid. Usually very brief, but clear :)
Kind of makes you think hmmmm...next time I'm coming back as a planet

I agree you are entering a creative energy. I've had similar type dreams/visions but they always represent something going on in my area or of nature. The earth has a soul as I see it. Gaia. I have always thought the planet is far from happy with us. WE huimans tend to mess with this planet by the minute. As George Carlin says the planet will one day shake us off like a bad case of fleas. My money is on the planet too!
Peace!

Perhaps the male voice was present to catch your attention.
After all, 'mother' is female to use, but (IMO) the Earth is neither/both.

i think the concept of earth being an entity with a soul that is doing its thing, much like the rest of us, is a very interesting concept.
And thinking about it - i dont think it may be off at all..
Personally, I believe that the universe itself - the planets, space, the galexies, even black holes - are all part of the Divine, the "one" if you will... And maybe its not the end, maybe there is something bigger & greated that holds the universe itself..
MAYBE, theres a whole set of different universes that have within them their own galexies & planets, etc..
Theres an interesting Kabbalah concept that talks about the fact that - The creater didnt create a whole new space for the universe we live in. Instead - it removed itself from the specific area where our Universe is placed today. Meaning, the Divine scooted up a bit, to make room for the brand new universe it created.
I've also read somewhere, a long time ago and I totally dont remember where I read this (it was ina newspaper though), that scientists managed to get a "map" of the entire universe, and that at one point of it - they discovered totally different energy form/structure, then what the universe/space is composed of.. and that they think that this is the "end" or the "border" of the universe.. I'm not sure how accurate this is, but if its true - the Kabbalah concept sits well with this discovery.

After a long long pondering session, I think your dream/vision was very enlightened. I agree totally with what the earth said, and can't quite think why it never ocurred to me earlier! Go Earth :)

I'm still working on the concept of the earth being a sister soul....but I'm coming around :). Basically, we're all sisters and brothers in spirit...so anything with a spirit is a sister/brother right?

A very beautiful belief indeed.

I really makes you stop and think about that whole "we're all interconnected" thing doesn't it?? All of our energies, flowing around and thru each other...:hmmmmm:

Oh, indeed...and all of us having an interconnected link would justify love even further and greater than what it can seem. For if we each weave in and out of one another, love should be as flowing as our energy. But not everyone can accept such a thing.
...Phew...got a little deep there...and possibly confusing. Anywho. *Hands out cookies* =)

Ooooo... very beautiful!
Faeawyn, that really made me think I read your post a few days ago and I've been thinking about it since then! It's a very interesting vision you had there! And if you believe in the concept of all Gods being One, it could have something to do with it...

Thank you...it was a very interesting vision to me too ....I've always had a belief in the male aspect of God (in the form of the christian God) as my father, and the Earth as sort of my mother..the giver of life, the nurturer, the protector, etc....but when that male voice came thru and said "do not worship me"...it threw me for a loop :)

I could see how it would. I'm not usually one for signs in dreams...but I could make an acception for this particular one. If dreams are not subconscious, I believe they are lessons on your path. It certainly has made us all think.
