a few nights ago i had this rather odd, but detailed dream. i've looked up the main parts in various dream dictionaries, but they either contradict or just seem... off to me.

in my dream, i was at work (which is in receiving at walmart) and my mom showed up, with another one who was her secretary, i guess? (my mother got a good laugh out of the idea of having a secretary). i was standing in the doorway talking to her, when i saw three crows standing on top of each other. three's often come up in my dreams, they always have, so i didn't think anything of it. then i looked up, and saw that about 12-15 crows were somehow at the top of the big roll-up door i work next to, and they had intertwined their wings, so they were holding each other up.

from what i've read, most people see crows as a bad omen, etc., but in the past few months, they are always around. i see and hear them constantly, and don't see them as bad (maybe just a bit misunderstood ;))... they're almost a comfort sort of thing.

anyways, i think i'm rambling. i know there's a dream dictionary that's come out recently, that's more pagan-orientated, but i can't remember who's it by or the title. so... any thoughts?

thanks :)

Hmm Well Crows can mean negative thoughts and this is what a Dream website had to say about the number 3-
3 This number always has to do with commitment and as such it should be placed in the I Need column. It stands for mind, body and spirit and is a request to commit yourself, mind body and spirit, to improving yourself in the direction indicated in the dream. The number 3 will often appear in dreams about the heart as people who have closed off their heart to others often lack commitment. A triangle or pyramid also indicate commitment and request the dreamer to meditate on the subject matter of the dream.
Just a thought but maybe the interlinked crows meant that the negative thoughts/problems are linked or linked to another issue?

Crows, My hubby is answering this.
From his Native American perspective, they're special because they have a connection to the ancestors and they are keepers of secrets.
I am glad you feel comfort. They are probably coming to help you. Let them comfort you. What matters most is the feelings you have.
I think theres something very special going on here.

From my own (irish) persepctive:

Crows are messengers. Three is a sacred number - the sacred is trying to send you a message. Open yourself to it. :)

I have always loved crows, blackbirds, and ravens. I don't know why but I just seem to like black colored birds. But then again, I've always liked the color black as well. If the crows comfort you then it would be my guess that you should welcome them. After all, they are Mother Nature's children just like you.

Well, there's an old appalachian tale that if you see three crows on a branch it means someone is going to die soon. Because Crows pair up for life and you hardly see more than two together. However I don't think this applies for dreams, and I also don't see crows as bad luck. I just thought I'd share this bit of info with you. I feel they are bringers of knowledge and wisdom. Perhaps it means that you'll be recieving some important news concerning the family soon.

That's something in Celtic tales also, when you see one one its own at least.
