Just how do you go about reading tea leaves. And what sort of tea leaves do you use?

Use tea leaves or coffee grounds
Make tea in a pot and pour without using a strainer
Drink until almost empty
Pick cup up in left hand. Ask your question (if you have one) spin the cup three times counterclockwise
Turn the cup upside down, and drain
When it has drained pick it back up and read the symbols inside the cup
Read in a clockwise direction beginning by the handle
The handle represents the inquirer
The rim - immediate present
Middle - up to a week ahead
The base - a few weeks or months ahead
Earl grey tea is suppose to be quite a good one to use

So can you use tea bags and split them open, and put them in a tea pot and make the tea that way? Or ... is there some other method

I'd guess so but I've always bought tea leaves not bags

Quick question, do you ground up the tea leaves? or does it matter?

The symbols mean the same as in dreams or life in general -so any good dream symbol guide will do

rrright, so you're looking for formations that look like a cat, for example?

What if you don't like tea? I can't bring myself to drink a whole cup but I want to try it. Can I pour the tea away so long as i have a few mouthfuls?

The Green Witchcraft Book I has a segment on reading tea leaves in it if anyone is interested. I thought it was explained rather well in the chapter, and there were various recipes for different types of tea to drink for different types of divination. :)

Ooh. I have two out of three of those books, I'll have to go over it again.
If only I could find a store that sells tea leaves, rather than tea bags.

Look for some loose green tea, that's leaves (chopped up tho). Or maybe you could just break open a teabag, would that work?
