I'm sorry if this has already been a topic
I was just reading the post about planes in the beginner wiccan forum and I got to thinking, does anyone believe that there are different planes that YOU exist in that have taken different paths? Do you think that when you dream of yourself you are opening yourself up to these different planes?

To be brutally honest...no. *Chuckles*
I do believe in other states of consciousness, I do believe in personal intuition, and I do believe in the creative and knowledgeable presence of those who have passed...but I cannot allow myself to imagine another me in some other plane. I personally feel that there is but one soul and but one heart in each of us...and as we are gifts to one another, I simply can't see the prospect of duplicate spirits.
...But, nonetheless... :hugz:

What about when you look into a mirror? Your reflection is of YOU but is a totally separate thing from you. I know there is only one you or me in the universe but maybe there are different parts of us in different places, like a puzzle. We might not know that they're there but they do exist. I'm not trying to conflict with you I'm just giving you somethings the consider.

I don't know what made me think of that. I like your idea of a puzzle, Crystal_Raye, that seems interesting.

I think that we can get into different planes by dreaming or death...
But there is not (my opinion) a second me somewhere else.

I like your approach, but I would have to say that your theory is inaccurate. The being that you see within the mirror is your own reflection. It is the image of yourself being reflected and taken in as an upside down frameshot into your eyes, then reversed, and finally sent to your brain as the information of the conscious recognition of yourself.
This theory would suppose that every reflection is an element of ones self. Water, in such an idea, would have to be its own realm absolutely. And in such a theory...the blind, unable to see their own reflections, wouldn't have the estranged elements that the seeing do. For, if it were the recognition of one's self through visual verification that was the true detection of alternate existance, as such a theory would suggest, than the blind, unable to recognize a reflection, would be seperated from the cycle all together.
...Wow. There are times when I wonder about myself. I think I need to go lay down.
