Last year I got ahold of a really cool ball lamp type thing. It glows different colors inside, real light pastel type colors, and it has a really pretty pearlescent fog rolling around in it, when you turn it on. I saw it, had to have it, it was bought for me.

This thing will suck your brain it. It's like listening to Trance music, 'cept you're intranced with your eyes. I've spent lots of time just looking at it.

Well, the night I just happened to glance over at it's prettiness, when I happened to actually see some shapes. I can't remember what I saw anymore, but I found it odd. I kept looking at it, from a distance, more and more recognizable shapes and scene kept popping out of it.

There were a few things that spooked the crap out of me, and I had to look away, but then I'd look back, and see more.

The almost weird thing is: I've TRIED seeing things in it before (for craps and giggles), but all the swirls were just a bunch of nonsense.

So I have at least one question for you crystal ball gazers: Is this what it's like? Or am I just going bonkers?

And does anybody else have one of these? You all need one. They make GREAT night lights ^-^

whoa, where did you get it? The whole point of crystal ball gazing is to get in a trance and disconnect the mind, while having something to focus on. Sure, why not. But please, tell me where ya got it, it sounds like I want to get one.

Sounds like it to me. I see a lot of swirling things which (usually) eventually form into solid physical things (like people, trees, etc).

Hiya all. Thanks for your responses :)

I got it from a place here in Oregon called Fred Myers. It's basically Wal-mart. It was the last one there. Infact, I got the one on display.

I'm sure you can find it, or something similar, elsewhere, like maybe at a Spencer's type of place. Spencer's is all over, I think, and they usually have some pretty trippy lamps in the back.

You might even be able to find it online. I'd go look it up, but I have no idea what to look for. Mayhaps it has some kind of company name on it somewhere so I can look to see if they're on the web.
