Greetings Fellow MysticWickers.....
I need to post a quick note asking for some energy sent my way this Wednesday. I have to have major surgery...not the quick or lazer kind either. And I'm more than a little nervous about this. I'm not *that* old...but need a hysterectomy for a variety of reasons. They will be leaving one ovary - so horomonal replacement therapy Wont have to occur later and that's good news. And I've already given birth to three delightful and wonderful witches - Kara, Kate and Kendra....
but...
I dunno you guys - this really has me rather shaky - ya know?
So...before I get even MORE dramatic and start crying about having them take my cauldron (which by the way IF you tell that to your Jewish OBGYN - they look at you like you're crazy!)....
but before I get all dramatic about being robbed from the gradual change of life I was looking forward to.....(as she counts her gray hairs)....
please
just send me some good energy on Wednesday...or even maybe for a couple of days after that.
The people here at Mystic Wicks have always been very good to me and I know I'm in good hands if you guys decide to send me help and healing.
Thanks in advance if you choose to help. I really appreciate this and it was difficult for me to ask....
And of course I even managed to cut jokes here when I am so desperate LOL.
Irish....guess it's our nature - eh?
thanks again

thank you...
thank you...
I wonder why this has me so nervous? Women face this everyday. Used to be this was like open heart surgery or brain surgery = nowadays it's as common as rain. So why am I so scared?
Anywho...not a good time to question and debate the tactics of Western Medicine.(eh?)......
gotta Gooo with the Flow and be confident. Right?
Thanks again!

I moved the thread here to get more recognition. I am sending you a ton of energy! I will already be focusing energy in that general topic. Mol has his vasectomy the same day. May you both do fine and have little complications either physically or emotionally.

Darling I am here to tell you that it is not a bad thing. I had mine when I was just 46 and not ready to relinquish my waterworks quite yet. But it was to save my life and so I went in and had it done. The following day will seem hard but you will recover and feel so much better. It really is not so bad and now that I am almost ten years post surgery, I can honestly say it was for the best. I will be thinking of you Wedensday and will make a note to send you healing and energies and calm for that day and for your recovery. Many blessings to you sweetheart.

I am so glad for you that they are leaving one ovary. You still will go through a change in life at the right time. I almost had the same thing happen but I did get to keep one ovary and one tube and my cauldron.
But when we thought they were gonna take all but one ovary I asked about the 'change' because I embrase it too and I was told the change is do to hormonal changes and as long as there is still one ovary left, you still get to go through the change. Hormon pills after a 'complete' hystorecomy is what makes you miss the change.
Energy sent.

Hey Semele:
Tell Mol that Jim had a vasectomy about 10 years ago and it was a piece of cake.
Ya know what ya need for that? I'll tell you...
you need a bag of frozen peas.
No joke
(although it IS ok to laugh at that ...but I'm serious)
yeah, frozen peas.
ya know why? Because you drop them on the ground in their bag...get them All broken up and independant of one another and waa-laa...the world's greatest ICE BAG!
Especially for "that" area.....
he'll find great comfort - I promise - in the ICE bag that can conform EXACTLY as he needs it to where he wants it to.
And around here you can buy a small bag of frozen peas for about a dollar...
so buy a few bags
(make him feel better like I did for Jim...I bought the biggest BAGS I could find *wink*)
but take it from me...
Fozen peas honey....
you'll thank me later.
No other ice bag works quite the same way.
I've gifted many men the past few years after Jim had his done with pretty gift bags - notified by their wives of course...but I show up on their doorstep (village wise woman ya know) with bags of frozen peas...
they look at me like i am insane...then call me the day after their proceedure and thank me Soooo much for SUCH a great idea.
(which I did not invent the idea...read it in a book)
hope that helps.
And also...
sex is AMAZING after the proceedure...don't know..but I think it's the 100% lack of concern or worry - FINALLY - that baby-making is OVER...and you can romp at will...
but we sure got our money's worth for that one day of Jim's discomfort and those bags of frozen peas
*wink*
Hope Mol's goes as smoothly as Jim's did.
Thanks for your support...
I'm scared about tomorrow...but I know that by Friday I'll be doing Much much better. They'll probably even let me come home by Friday. Yeah!
I've a big stack of books all lined up to enjoy while I'm *down*...
the Hagatha and Max series to work on (my first color series - a lovable character named hagatha who is always putting her familiar Max in peril)
and
also - my *deck*...I am working on....
a witchy deck of divination...
Ooooooooooooooooooooooo
yes.............a deck of 33.................
it will be quite yummy..
so see....I am getting myself all phyched with Fun things to work on. For the first time I will be bed-ridden and no excuses but to LAY there and get these things DONE!
No driving to get someone from soccer....pick someone up from play practice LOL....
(for a few days anyway - right?)
LOL
thanks again..and yes please send me energy for Wednesday and for a few days after --- thanks thanks thanks
I shall return the favor as a true sister should - if you EVER have need of me!
much love
and hugs to Mol....
(frozen peas man....you will thank me later)
cheers

So great to hear from someone who had the proceedure done. Thank you! I'e gotten some emails this morning from around the globe from ladies - likeyourself - who've had this done and say it's not so bad!
One woman wrote her nightmare story...wished she'd just kept all that gorey info to herself for awhile longer..
LOL
(keeping my sense of humor - eh?)
But thanks for telling me your story of success - that really helps a great deal!

I am so glad for you that they are leaving one ovary.
Energy sent.
yes...that was very good news. That I will still be intact. A lot of women call me crazy for embracing the physical change of menopause -
but I see the change of life and my body and very much a part of my being a woman. And I was fearful that a part of that was about to be robbed of me.
I mean I was great at the maiden part of my life.....everything a young woman could hope for...and the mother part I worked hard to procude beautiful children and raise them well...and use everybit of my energy to build a family - a spiritual family AND my own home family as well...
to miss out on my final stages into cronehood was making me sad.
But so far so good...I will just be loosing the uterus mostly - and I guess even tho my Dr doesnt understand why I am sad to Loose my Cauldron (You should have seen his face when I asked him to KEEP it so I COULD bury it myself)....
ok...so it's gross...
it's mine and lots of my witchy stuff I do is pretty gross....
but anyway
thank you for your thoughts. I'm glad you understand what I meant about not losing my ovaries..
and also

(((Sabrina))) I'll remember to send you some energy for strength tomorrow. Until then, try not to worry and get too stressed over it beforehand, although that's easy for me to say... and easier said than done, I know. Sending you love, and energy for strength and peace. (For some reason, too, I want to tell you to stay warm.)

thank you...
and you are absolutely SPOT ON!!
How did you know? Just one of those "witchy" things - eh?
I always - and that's into 40+ years of proof...but I ALWAYS get Chilly...like trembly when I am nervous...my hands have trembled for over a week now which makes getting my artwork done really more difficult than I need. LOL
But yes..today I'm a little extra *chilly* hehe.
I am headed now to the bathtub where I've planned a ritual bath...a warm soak to make myself more ready to absorb your good energy you're sending..if that makes sense.
Thank you thank you thank you
You sister in the Craft of the wise....

Thank you for your concern and all the wonderful support!
Sabrina's operation went well and she is now at home recuperating...she is very sore and doesn't ever want to give up her pain pills!
She moves a bit slow these days and seems to have trouble navigating the stairs to get the loads of laundry done. She finally did all of the dirty dishes, the pots and the pans, So it sure is nice to finally see the sink again!...The grass is getting so high, later today she'll see if she can push the mower up our hills and hopes to get the front yard done by the time I get home from my golf game. Although, yesterdays scrubbing of all of the tile floors seemed to set her back abit, I think after her bleeding stops, she'll be ok.
There is a lot more chores to get done, but the old broad will be just fine..
Hope you can read between the lines and recognize my Yankee humor :)
All kidding aside, having Kara home from the Army this past week to take care of her mom has been wonderful, The girls won't let Bri do anything and make sure she's rested and well fed! She sends her love to you all and hopes to be able to sit up long enough soon to write to you herself!
Love and Hugs,
Jimmy
