Anybody follow a more Welsh Path? Just curious. I'd love to know the inner workings of it

no, but seriously, I'd love to. I live right on the border, and have always felt drawn to Wales. Wouldn't know where to start though, perhaps someone could make a suggestion?

I know there's a website on welsh witchcraft somewhere on the net
*consults favourites file*
www.tylwythteg.com
but that's the only decent website I have been able to find.

yes, I am a welsh witch! I suggest you start by reading some welsh folklore - if you haven't already; the mabinogion is as good a starting place as any, or any of the books on the Mab by Caitlin Matthews...the tylwyth teg site is okay, too. Or if none of this covers it, you could PM me - I'd be happy to help.

I've taken a brief look at the mabinogion and delved repeatedly in the tylwyth teg site also.
Is Caitlin Matthews any good, I've heard mixed responses about her work.

Stay away from the YTT website. The vast majority of what they publish is drivel, and the few good things are plagarised from other authors. :blech:
I follow a path of my own design, but with strong Welsh and Avalonian overtones.

Part of my path is informed by the Welsh/Avalon traditions. An excellent book I'd like to recommend is Awen by Mike Harris. Here's the Amazon link (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/1928754007/102-1704106-3055363?v=glance)
It deals with Celtic traditions in general but most of its discussion deals with Welsh pagan and mythological traditions.

hey there ~ i'm incredibly interested in the welsh tradition of which you speak... uhm, may i ask if the beliefs are different from mainstream wicca, or what any particular unique aspects of this tradition are? please excuse me for being uneducated. :p

Caitlin Matthews and her husband John (I think) Matthews, are both pretty good authors. They include some info that could be categorized as UPG (Unverified Personal Gnosis) in their books, but they are upfront about it. The other info they provide is generally accurate and well-researched. I would have no problems recommending either of them.

Thought I'd replied on this one yonks ago but seeing as it's been bumped, I'll opine again...
Tylwyth Teg are an American Gardnerian group (satirised, IIRC, at http://www.geocities.com/yetwitchytwig ) who are not a Welsh path at all and whose material contains substantial inaccuracies, particularly about Welsh history.
There are a number of traditionalist groups in Wales which I would consider to be authentic, but as far as I know, they keep themselves to themselves.
Agree strongly with Mallt about using folklore as an approach, there's a lot of material in the lore of custom and place which will benefit the true seeker. Other approaches could also help, including Celtic material, bardism, and some of the 19th century Druidic teachings (though they need to be taken with care, as there is a lot of rubbish there too!)
