Class Question ??

Hello!

I was wondering if there was a syllabus for this class or is is just one card per week? (that seems kind of slow going being that there are 78 cards!!)

If you could supply me with some information, I would appreciate it!! :)

First of all welcome to the family! We are going kind of slow so as to soak it all in. I have been working a lot lately so it has been even slower. I hope to speed things up a little bit pretty soon. In fact I will probably post the key words to the last card tonight and have the new card up for interps. No we don't have a syllabus, but we will leave the posta of all the cards open so that we can refere back to them or even add new ideas as we progress through the deck. Sorry if my posts are a bit choppy.... I have a bit of a Nyquil hangover. Got the blasted flu bug.

If we could do ....maybe 3 majors a week....and then look at the numberology....of the minor suits.....the suits themselves....and the court cards....that way, we could get a feel for the number and the suit....and get our own interpretations for the minor arcana without having to memorize all 56 of the minor arcana!.....I don't know....just some suggestions!

On another board I frequent.....they had us make a poster/chart to write 3 keywords for the upright and reversed for the majors and just the upright for the minors. I liked that! It gives me a nice 'jumping off' place and it hangs right above my computer! :)

I was thinking of something very similar to your suggestions regarding the minor arcana. I wanted to discuss the four suits and their common attributes first, as it can all get so confusing when you just dive in and try to learn the difference between the four of cups and the four of wands. Anyway, I though we might tackle those after we finished up with the majors, just for simplicity. I know some of our members don't yet have decks and didn't want to overwhelm them. I guess we could speed up the posting of the cards so that folks could work at their own pace.

Let me know what the masses want here and we will get on it.

That sounds great to me! ....then again.....i ususally pick things up pretty quickly!....it's retaining that I seem to have a problem with! lol :D (hence the poster I mentioned before....need something to jog the memory!)
