How did you know what "specialty" you were good at? I'd love to hear from any and all...

My theory is that anyone who is in touch with the Universe (or whatever you want to call intuition, divine energy, etc) can use any oracle, but obviously certain oracles are going to resonate with your energy better than others.

I think it's all trial and error until you find something that works for you. For instance, I started with Tarot - Rider Waite to be specific - and it worked for me but I was never 100% comfortable with it. Then I got into Celtic Paths later and bought a Celtic Tarot deck which is just BEAUTIFUL but it turned out I just wasn't into it either. I gave up on tarot after that.

I then got into totem animals and the Native American Medicine Cards which worked wonderfully for me. And my favourite came along a few years later in the Wisdom of the Australian Animals which are similar to the medicine cards, only with Australian animals on the cards. I resonate VERY WELL with these cards, probably because I grew up around these animals and feel a bond with them.

My latest has been another lesser-known oracle, the scarabs. They are a new system by deTraci Regula. They are similar in size to runes, but are little clay (putty?) scarabs with hieroglyphs on the opposite side that give the meanings. I am going down an Egyptian path at the moment and these have really spoken to me. Between the Australian Animal cards and the scarabs I have two very good oracles I love!!! And I found them just through trial and error and because they seemed to "Speak" to me when I held them. You might like to try that next time you hold something, do they send off an energy to you that you feel like you resonate with?

But I still collect others ;)

I say try everything. Like Lilu said something will "speak" to you. For me it was the tarot as well but I can do other things with just as much accuracy.

This is areally good question and something I used to wonder about myself!
I believe the same theory as Lilu that once we are intune with your own intution ~ the earth and the goddess we can use allot of different systems to gain insights... its just a matter of finding a system that works for you :)
I tried Tarot and the Runes 7 years ago first when I was bought a set of each for Christmas.. I tried both but got into the tarot allot more.. then years passed and I forgot about them.. then about 2 years ago I started on my spiritual quest seriously and discovered them again! I love the tarot but have ben learnign the runes recently and find them very good aswell!! Not all tarot decks work for me at all.. you just have to find a deck you can really see into ~ imagine and jump into the actual pictures of the cards!
I didnt even belive in Crystal balls altogether a while ago ~ I couldnt explain it therefore it couldnt be so... but they are so real and each has different experiences with them also ~ I see colours and shapes moving about that then form into images and this works well for me if I am feelign confident and insightfull myself.
I think you have to believe in yourself, in your intution and in the imagination to really go for it.
How about you :)

thanks for responding to my questions guys ..;)

I have yet to find my "divination" but I will be trying my hand at Tarot after this wkd. I also have a crystal ball but I think it will take much practise b4 I can figure out what's inside of me and what it is saying. I'm just beginning my quest at this time to see my spirituality and the path of Wicca.

Please, I love to hear more from all

Actually, my roommate and I were just talking about this tonight over dinner. She feels that her specialty is tarot, and that is what she uses and is pretty straight on. I on the other hand, don't feel a "calling" to any sort yet.......but I am a firm beleiver that I will someday have a feeling for it. I have a large interest in tarot, but not sure if I want to begin it, but so far, that is what i feel is the most comfortable to me. It will come to you...patience is a virtue!

Well, I'd have to say TRIAL & ERROR (in large doses, sometimes also called fits & starts). :ghost:
