Has anyone experienced these phenomena at some time or on a regular basis? Any interesting stories to share? Or do you think it's all a crock?

Well it looks like lots of people read this and no one is ready to jump in so I'll start.

I have had many dreams that actually play out exactly as I dreamed them. The weird part is...it usually much later..and all of a sudden things move real slow and I think "oh no I know what is going to happen" and then it does immediately. This has never been a negative experience for me (like OH I could have saved someone or something). To me it seems to be a slow way to work with me so I don't freak out, with too much info. I may be wrong about that BUT I don't care it makes it easier for me to work through.

I have also "heard" (but not in a normal hearing sense, more like a feeling and a thought at the same time) warnings. And only as warnings like a NO, or NO DON"T GO IN THERE or STOP. And it 's like it is in all caps, really strong. I have NEVER gone against those promptings ever. I learned that early. It has stopped me from getting hit by a car, and from walking in to my own home when there was a man in my house. And also helped me in my first marriage to a very abusive man.

I hope this answers your question.

Blessings!

I have experienced alot of things using all of my clairs..usually clairscentience (SP?) that is what Hope was talking about with the feelings or just a sense of something that you should or shouldn't do. I also joke around with people alot that I have the ability to "see dead people". I can see spirits around mostly when I'm relaxed and not looking but sometimes they come when I ask them to as well. It's all very cool. Everyone has the ability to sense and see but not everyone choses to use or develop them. As for clairaudience I have at times heard things but it's usually garbled and very brief. Other times I get a really quick message like"get ready for something" but that doesn't happen very frequently unfortunately.

I could ramble on about this so I'll stop now. Hope I was sort of clear.

Sometimes I get little flashes like "wear a jacket" or "it's D on the phone". I'm still in the stage tho where I pass them off and then it happens and I'm like "oh!". Recently, for example, my friend lost her pack of cigarettes while visiting and thought she left them in the car or dropped them in the mall or something. I knew they were under my futon but didn't look thinking "she already has, they aren't there". And yet, a week later when we moved the futon to clean they were under it.

When you communicate with spirits you are a medium, but it isn't clairvoyance etc. A lot of my Pagan friends are to a degree mediums, especially one who basically has spirits following him around asking to talk. Several of them hear spirits, especially when they are really relaxed and/or drinking (which relaxes most people and thus opens your senses up to things), and often start foretelling things spirits tell them (ie. if you'll stay with a person, if you're meant to be together, how your job will go soon, if you'll get pregnant, etc.).. I don't talk to spirits as much, except for the rare whisper in my ear which I often pass off as my own thoughts or common sense, even tho I'm told I'm probably a very good medium (spirits follow me around and tend to flock towards me), but I'm still terrified of ghosts, etc. :)

Oops got my own thread off topic didn't I :)

I found the comment about drinking interesting. For me, drinking is a HUGE no-no when it comes to seeing/hearing/sensing things. It totally screws me up. Does anyone else find this? Or is it better if you've been drinking because you open up more? I think a lot of it with me is that I am quite sensitive to my chakras and things, and drinking seriously screws up my chakras and the energy flow there so I get off-kilter. In my "drinking days" it would take me WEEKS to recover from a night out partying due to the effect alcohol had on my energy flow. Thoughts? Is this even on topic?

I don't drink very much just because the difference in my energy is so strange to me. My friends don't feel like this at all. They aren't drunkards, to be sure, but for them it is the same for most people - just good fun. They become more open to ghosts, faeries, and other spirits. Sometimes they'll get irritated and it's funny to see one turn and look over her shoulder and say "would you screw OFF already" or something along those lines because they get annoyed. Or they'll mention "someone is telling them but they aren't supposed to say".

I think it just depends on the person. It would probably screw me up to try any type of work when drunk too. Then again my friends weren't trying anyway.

hello, im just posting to let you all know you aint alone :)

ive frequently "read" for spirits, and for me its a matter of "feeling, hearing, seeing images in the mind, and emotional as well as physical feelings" type of things i get, i dont see them yet thank god, i think i roll over and die of fright if i saw one. i also read tarot, but recently have gotten good at it. i also work with crystals, auras, chakras, pendulums, wicca, pagan, voodoo, and almost every other religion, most of it is in the "studying" stage, like the chakras and auras and crystals and some religions. ive been recently delving into past life regression as well, so far its really cool :)

sometimes though, a spirit will give out info pertaining to issues in the home of the person being contacted, or even around that person. it all depends on the spirits attitude towards giving out info on the future. normally i go into a chatroom to read for spirits.

i can also "decide" when i want to hear them and when i dont. its like turning off and on a switch in your mind or your own spirit energies. and yes, believe it or not, we all have spirit energies (as if yall didnt already know that lol) anywho, i can answer pretty much almost any questions about spirits, i can also "contact" a spirit upon request, but i usually need to talk to the person for awhile before the intended spirit comes up. its an energy thing again i guess. :D

so if you would like me to try for you, message me on msn if you have it, my msn contact name is nightstorming@hotmail.com sometimes i get nothing, sometimes i get something, so it all depends on the chance u wanna take :) anywho, i think ive done enough not-meaning-to bragging or something like that, just was letting yall know you aint alone and that it does exist :)

I hear music a lot. If it is very quiet and usually either before I fall asleep or when I wake up, I will hear strains of music. If I had any music talent in me, I could probably reproduce it. It is all different styles too and nothing I recognize either.

I would love to know what it is or where it comes from.

nothing regular, thank the lord of yer choice, but this one will stay with me for long time:

a few yrs ago i had an excellent hairdresser (i have cranky hair, they are rare who can manage it). yet, each time i went to see her, i had this feeling of total dread come over me. i wanted to warn her about something, but did not know what!

the feeling was so strong i now dreaded seeing her. i still had no idea what the cause was, it was absurd. 'be very careful as something horrible may to happen to you.' is not a bit helpful and tends to kill the conversation quite dead - and my hair along with it.

a couple of years later she was in a nasty car accident, her husband was so badly hurt, she quit the business to look after him. i thought that was it, but the feeling did not go away.

then something truly awful happened.

since then i've been somewaht angry about the whole thing; why did i pick up these vibes and why then could i not have instead been able to help her prevent the tragedies? now that would have been useful!
