this is a thread I started because I love dreams. I love having them, I love talking about them, I love sharing them. . . and I want you guys to share yours!
So, what kinds of dreams do you have? where do you go in them? what kinds of creatures do you meet? what's it all about for you?
Last night, my dream was weird. From my boyfriend's bisnatchy step-mom's house to a weird effed up disneyland to some ruins next to the ocean where a guy got bitten by a shark but then jumped in a HUGE DEEP well of fresh/mineral water (RIGHT on the beach, no less), and another guy dived from the cliff I was standing on into the well. . . the cliff was so high up the well looked tiny, and when he hit I could see it was like 10 feet in diameter. And it had to be at least a hundred feet deep. . . all stone lined, and there were these two women who swam up out of it, in regular swimsuits o.O;; and the whole area turned into beachside ancient ruins only not as old and broken as they were before. . . it was weird. And there was a wall around the well and torches and stuff. . . so kewl.
What did you dream?

Mine dont usually make too much sense, creatures with no names etc, all in my head and I like them :) I know what they mean though (usually) if there is a message in them......I had a dream once I was about 6cm tall and being chased across the kitchen sink by a Mars Bar. I stopped eating directly before I went to bed after that one....

Mine are normally all kinds of fscked up. People who melt into malicious pools of laughing bacteria, my reflection telling me 'Heaven will never let you live', or growing enormous *pink* eyes, homemade mecha-battles in my driveway...All have featured in recent dreams. I wish I could remember the tiny details that I notice in them. I'm not too sure how I know I notice them but I know I do.
They also tend to feature people who are either good friends IRL, or friends in the dream that I don't know IRL. Occasionally a character or famous personage pops up.

of dreams and waking visions .....
some of which come true , some of which help me sort out my life an give me information I need to know..... I dream in full color .... and sometimes I have entire movies in my dreams just to have something to watch.
Sometimes I talk to people who have passed over ....like my parents...sometimes I go flying with my friends :>
I sometimes have dreams in which I am Chinese, and speak real chinese in the dreams.
I love dreams too .......they are wonderful :>

Lots of awesome dreams!!! hehe
speaking of really psycho dreams. . .
armitage: - too much anime! Pink eyes = Chibiusa! I can sympathize!! one time I was Usagi from Sailor Moon, and I and Chibi-usa were lost in an opera house, the one from Sakura Wars. Another time I was a giant Homer Simpson, and I ate the doughnut off the top of the doughnut shop. Kinda like being a giant mech? ^^;;;; hehe
mist - I do that too! in fact, the part in my dream this morning where my boyfriend's stepmom was arguing. . . they had a HUGE argument this evening. And one time I had this dream where I accidentally killed my brother in a fit of rage. During that day, I got incredibly pissed at my brother and suddenly remembered the dream and ran into my room and locked the door and started crying. It kept me from hurting him. Dreams do that a lot for me.
Swanspirit - WHOAH!!! that is so kewl. . . I think I remember you talking about the chinese in another thread? I think the past lives one? That is so amazing. . . [i]wow[/]. . .
Dellit Tandannon - I know what you mean. . . some days I wake up and I feel so damn exhausted, and I think about what I dreampt, and I realize I'm awake and still "dreaming". . . and I go "darnit! I'm walking again. . . " . . . I once had this horrible dream which started out nice. . . I felt like my astral form was pregnant, then I was standing/floating in the middle of a city that looked like it had been hit by an ultra-nuke, and then this. . . this horrible, bad bad bad feeling CREATURE turned and looked at me. . . it was SEVERAL stories tall, as big as a skyscraper, hovering at the edge of the city (half the sky was black with clouds and half was blood-red like sunset except not; more like the sky had been thuroughly splattered with blood), it had this weird angular skull-like face, its whole body was angular and dark black-red, and it had black angel wings, and when it saw me I freaked and spun to run, I had white angel wings, and I was flying as fast as I could only they were very very weak wings, and the thing EASILY flew and caught up to me, and it grabbed me around the stomache like it was catching teh baby, not me. And I woke up. And during the day I was talking to someone about how someday I wanted to have children, and I turned my head and I had a split second vision of the creature looking at me almost like a warning or something. . . it freaked me the heck out.
I've also had dreams about joining discovering a culture only to find that some kind of weird astral culture wanted me to join them. . . now THAT was freaky as heck.
. . . I babble, don't I? ^^;; people say I talk too much. . . MAY be true. . . 8O

What kind of dreams do I have? My mom would say, "Epics." :D It always takes me a while to tell her about them, mostly because they usually don't stop without an ending. Like, if I'm fighting something, I won't wake up until I've killed them and we're celebrating or something. It's weird.
Anyway. Recently I've dreampt that my aunt was practically rabid and chewing on my foot, that I had to defend my home against monsters, and that I went on a trip with my best friend, who was really really mad at me. They were... well, disturbing. :(
Puma-- babble babble. "I do not babble. I occasionally run on, every now and then I yammer..." :D:D

For the most part I'll remember my dreams. Like last night I was camping with some people I didn't like. And one of them kept pulling parts out of my car (don't know why) finally I went to go home and this person wanted to kill me so I ran and trapped myself in a room and did Math. Then my boyfriend saved me so we went back to my car but I couldn't find it. My good friend had come up to see me with her family. And they couldn't find my car either. Lil Kim the rapper was there looking for people that look like her. Hmmm.....
I'm always having dreams about someone trying to kill me. I always get away . Does anyone know what this means??

I have lucid dreams often and astral travel during sleep often.
Right now all my dreams involve school and somehow a struggle (ie. being late for class, not knowing where my class is, not having my assignment done, missing the bus, arguing with classmates, etc.) because I just finished college. Most often my dreams are pretty normal or slightly odd. I often dream about exploring mansions and barns. The most interesting dreams I had recently included my best friend's ex whom I never talked to come up and ask me about her (we figure he was probably wondering how he was doing and the energy of that came to me), oh and a couple weeks ago I dreamt about my children for the first time (who were a boy and a girl, the boy oldest, and the children a couple years apart).

My answer: no, but I wish I did.
Does anyone know good, and simple to read tutorials on how to do dream-recalling or to lucid-dream? I wish I could, my dreams I *do* remember are great dreams usually. I wish I could draw. The last image I remember was one I don't want to forget, ever.

I chose the "sometimes" option, although I don't always forget them during the day. Often it's the other way around: I don't remember them when I wake up, but something that happens during the day reminds me "hey, I dreamed about that last night!" :)
My dreams are usually somewhat benign - not too scary and not too wonderful. They are usually wierd, though ;), but not in a disconcerting way.

I voted yes, I always remember my dreams.....
It wasn't always the case.....when I was younger I would wake up and tell myself I would remember....but as the day would pass, no matter how hard I tried the dreams would fade and dissappear.....
My Grandmother taught me, that when I was dreaming, my spirit was wondering.....and in order to remember what my spirit was seeing, my mortal self need to record the wanderings of my spirit immediately upon its return......
So, over the years, I have taught myself to wake upon my spirits return and quickly record what happened.....sometimes this means waking myself several times a night ....But it has helped me greatly when it comes to remembering and anilysising(sp) things I cannot see in my waking hours.

Yes. About the recent incident about Ariel, and now the prospect
of losing my computer on Friday, 31st -- unless I can come up
with some re-arranged budget......aw heck.....I need to go on a
diet anyway, I'll just be sure to hit the food bank every week,
and maybe even a soup kitchen................. I learned that I was
a peasant in a past life, struggling to make money, and begging
for food..............Deja Vu...:woah: :bug: :ahhhh: :woah:

I have been astral travelling at nights....while I don't
remember the details of the events, I vaguely remember the
faces of the people I see...people I have never seen before,
and it's generally different people every night....and I wake
up in the mornings totally exhausted. :ahhhh:
I'm wondering....is there a reason for all my astral travelling(do
I get frequent flyer points), and is it a sign of future events- to-
come?

well, my dream are for lack of a better word, frekin weird!!
I have had the same dream for about 2 1/2 weeks, almost every night but just slightly diffrent as i have them.
well there is billy blanks in spandex and he has about a billion robot clones of himself. Then there is bitterman a person i once knew that talked in his sleep ("save the grill hide the gold!") he is a pirate that fights with billy blanks against me and my friends in my dreams at an old school building
to kill the bb clones you have to hit these red buttons on their back and all my dreams turn out with me getting impaled, my head exploding, shot, crushed, punched to death, had my arms chopped off, and my favorite tied up and thrown off the building
i always wake up as i die and thats the only thing diff in my dreams

My dreams tend to feel like i"m there but I don't see myself, and often times questiosn are asked like i would ask. When I was younger, they were more fantasy like dreams, but now they're like a normal day but somewhere else and theoretical, yet they relate to things (like a dream I had a ocuple weeks ago about a burning oven then a fire in an aprtment or house) then the next day in my class I heard some girl talking and go "that reminds me, I shoudl call my husband and tell him I forgot to turn the oven off"

I have all kinds of dreams. Sexual, action, etc. I normally remember them but not always. I enjoy the sex dreams much more...lol. The action dreams are exhausting and stressful....I'm always running around trying to save my friends and family, battling evil creatures. I've had strange dreams, calming, peaceful dreams too. I think I dreamt I was a mermaid once, that was interesting...it was nice. I was in a seclude cavern, with nothing but blue water beneath me and blue skies above. There were dolphins, otters, and a blue whale that I was lying on top of to sun bathe.

At least once a month, I go to Star Island, which is a real place that I go to every summer and I feel very spiritually connected to. But in my dreams about this place, it's never the same! I know it's Star Island, but it looks nothing like real life. It's weird.

I find dreams fascinating. Dreams of past lives are a favorite though I've only dreamed of three. I like dreams about family events when it's warm and sunny and you feel the warmth hitting your sin. I enjoy survival dreams because I wake feeling safe and secure and really wanting to back back to sleep and talk with them more.
I hate waking from a nightmare and my chest is pounding and there's a smell of fear in the air.
No, no, no Not for me...........

I normaly have dumb dreams. Like once, I dreamed that I was drunk and driveing arround. I was constantly scared that id get into trouble and kept pinching myself to make sure that I was dreaming. As I didnt feel the pinch I knew that I was dreaming, either that or too drunk to feel anything. But yes I was dreaming as I dont own a stationwagon convertible. :)

I love my dreams, especially when im not worried about things my dreams are kool. I can control things with my hands or mind somethimes. Sometimes in my dreams i leave the house at night, i either take a car or walk and i just keep going. I just walk in a straight line and i feel so free. at a time when i had no worries i think i was beginning to realise i was dreaming. as sometimes i would say to myself you do realise you are dreaming and i would say i don't care im still gonna try to steal this makeup, or try my best to suceed or something. as i honestly believed when i woke up i would achieve whatever i did in my dreams. ahh good times

I have weird dreams. Not in that they jump around all over the place and that they don't make sense. They make sense... kind of. It sort of feels like I'm in a really weird television show that changes everyday. But my dreams are... what could best be described as tactile. I feel and experience things that somehow I know match up in real life, despite having never experienced said things, which is weird to me.

I usually remember my dreams, and have a tendancy to write them down. Mine are generally great inspiration for plots for fantasy/adventure books. Often, though, I have odd dreams. Sometimes prophetic. I usually enjoy them.
