Positive Experiences.

This thread is for those who have had helpful, friendly or at least benign paranormal experiences. I've wondered about this since I rented an apartment in an older home a few years ago where some helpful spirit would help me out in the mornings when I had forgotten to turn on my alarm or was sleeping a bit too long. While asleep I would hear either the sound of the phone ringing or someone knocking at the door, this would wake me up immediately and I would start for the phone or the door only to realize that the phone wasn't ringing or there was noone at the door. I was never afraid, in fact, I was a bit grateful and there was no other paranormal activity while I lived there.

I've figured that this could just be all in my mind, a form of auditory hallucination but I don't think so because it was too useful and it only occured at this house. I just like to think that some former resident wanted to help me out while not being obtrusive.

I saw something on television once where a woman put her baby down for a nap, and went about doing stuff around the house. She kept hearing a woman say " check the baby"..over and over, when she finally went in to check her baby it was smothering in the blankets. I would say that was pretty useful. I've heard of ghosts watching over children a lot.

Oh I believe this 900%. I had a dream visitation by my grandmother once, the only one I had actually, and she showed me her new "job" now that she has passed on. She showed me she is guarding children. She showed me (in a city, in a red-bricked, skyscraper-type apartment) a child about to fall out of a high-up window, and my grandmother's spirit whooshed up and pushed the baby back into the room and out of the window to safety.

She told me that the afterlife was not all that she was taught (she was a devout Southern Bapist Pator's wife), that they had gotten a few things wrong, but it was alright, that she was content and that she had this job, a purpose, and that she had moved on and was fine.

I never had another dream of her again, period. It has really affected how I see things. I know she is out there working for this very purpose.

So yes, I do believe. ;)

Several, fortunately... though I've had the other variety as well. :)

I agree, that they can be very helpful, and very friendly even, when the mood strikes, and depending upon the circumstances.

A friend and I became interested in spirit communications at a young age, and both had benign spirits "attach" themselves to us - as a sort of guardian presence/friend I suppose you could call it for lack of a better term. 15 years later, that presence is still felt, and it is a comfort. I've lost touch with the friend over the years, but the last I was aware, she was still able to communicate with the spirit that she associated with at that time as well... I've never heard of anyone else having this type of experience - usually you hear about the negative or the brief encounters, unless it is a spirit that was actually attached to a location.

(Sorry, that isn't a very good description. :lol: )
