Ooooooohhhhhhhhhh!!!! The stove was an Aga!!! I thought so. That's my 'Dream Stove', my 'If I win big, stupid lottery money & can have anything I want' stove.

I can see myself making a cup of tea on that stove, then drinking it while cuddled in a comfy chair in the tower or conservatory, watching a storm blow up over the ocean.

I'm one of those obnoxious people who think that you shouldn't live in a house bigger than you actually need, that you shpuldn't live in a huge house just because you can afford it.
However, for this house all my beliefs would be tossed into the trash.

Ditto on the link - and on the house. Every scene in that kitchen looked like a different room - I had to see the movie several times before I noticed that!

I'm gonna be an old witch with a house like that, greenhouse and all........I noticed after I started making soaps and bath products that Sally was stocking her shelves in her store with wine bottle type packaging - which is exactly what I put mine in! The subconscious mind is amazing........

Oh, I LOVE it!! I have always wanted to live in a house like that! The old houses are so cool! I live in a old hose now, BUT it is not a Victorian one! Thanks for the link!!

There are Victorian houses, with the gingerbread, towers, etc., then there are houses that were built during the Victorian era that have no 'goodies' that make a house look Victorian. I have an 1880s 'worker's' house that was probably quite plain to start with, & was altered over the years with 1960s aluminum siding & 'picture' windows (that are SO ugly & annoy me more than the siding).
*sigh*
My neighbor is removing the 1930s asbestos siding from his & slowly converting it back into a Victorian cottage. I'm just not willing to give up the 'Never paint again' feature of my aluminum siding.

Before I became pagan I drew up plans for my dream house.I actually have a room drawn on there that I called the 'Herb Room'.It's part greenhouse/conservatory and part 'Healer's Pantry'{at least that's what my granny called the place where you kept your herbs and such.It leads out to a huge herb, veggie, and fruit garden. There's also a flower garden with a yoga/meditation platform. When I get my scanner I'll post some pictures of the drawings.

It looks like a larger version of my greatgrandmother's old farmhouse. Very nice!

Oh my.
That is a very fine house. I am totally watching that movie :)
I'd lovely to have a house like that. It's big, but not too big, and there's so much in it!

Although it is quite a beautiful house featured in the film, it really isn't my style. I wish however that I would have seen this other you're talking about.
