I am feeling so close to Mother Earth tonight for many reasons. It's a full moon, blood moon and I am also menstruating. I have such an unbelieveable feeling tonight. The only things is....I have been studying for many years but have never done any rituals or spells because I wanted to wait until I felt I was ready. After many years I feel tonight I would like it to be my first.
I dont have any fancy tools or anything but would love to honor Mother Earth. I dont know anyone rituals.
Couls someone please help me.
Thanks
Rick

When in doubt, just speak it from your heart... kinda like you did in this thread...

I agree too, about speaking from the heart  :heartthro
It's weird that you mention the strange sensation you have tonight, because I have it too...I am still a novice when it comes to magic, but I was compelled tonight...Also, it's very weird, my periods had been getting irregular the more I have gotten into my "spirituality"..I started toying with the idea that they might be tied to the moon somehow...and this time I was not supposed to menstruate until Friday, but began immediately after performing a cleansing ritual yesterday...I also wonder if the moon being "Blood Moon" had anything to do with this...has anything like this happened to you? I mean, have you noticed a correlation like that with your cycle and the moon's phases, if it varies from your normal 28 day cycle?

Can anyone give me a quick run-down on what the blood moon represents? I'm a little slow today in the memory department! *and feeling lazy* :zzzzZZZ:

My cycles came a full week and a half earlier this month, I normally don't get them until the new moon but they came earlier, they have been for a while. Not sure if that's just me or the moon though ;)

AuntBoo...to answer your question...yes I have noticed a difference. My period wasn't due until Oct 31 this month but I got it today on Full/Blood moon. Myhusband even made a comment like didn't you just get over your period? I said yes and that it came 4 days early for some reason. I truly believe it has to do with the moon cycles but never , ever noticed it before.
Thinga are a little strange or maybe....natural for a change
For now on I am going to try to keep track of my cycles and the moons cycles to see what turns up.

I could not find a lot of information, sorry, but here is what I could get:
The Blood Moon
Marking the season when domestic animals were sacrificed for winter provisions. Libra's full moon occasionally became the Wine Moon when a grape harvest was expected to produce a superior vintage.
Scorpio heralds the dark season when the sun is at it's lowest and the first snows fly.
Also, the moon is in Scorpio, so the following information may be relevant:
Moon in SCORPIO is the best time for spells involving power, psychic growth, sex; healing of the reproductive organs.
Well, based on that, the best ideas for ritual that I could come up with revolved around the fact that this moon is close to Samhain, so you could almost do a combined ritual for both of them. That being said, my ideas were:
- A feast for those who have passed on, and having wine (if you drink alcohol, otherwise apple juice is a good substitute)
- Reflect upon the "sacrifices" that you have made for your worship/devotion (eg, time, etc) and then reflect upon what it means to make those sacrifices
- Since you are a woman and it is the Blood Moon, it would be quite an ideal time to "commune" with the Goddess, and it may help you realise the divinity within, as well as the sacredness of your body. Particularly good if you have low self-esteem.
Well, that is the best I can come up with at the moment, and I hope it was SOME use to you! Just ask or PM me if you need any more info!

I typically get mine on the new moon as well, but not the past couple of months :foh:
