How is to old to have a wiccaning? My younger childeran are 8 and 6. And we are new to the wiccan ways . And the children are very inerested.

I don't think there is really any set age.

Although, at the age they are now, maybe it would be easier to simply wait a little longer, while still teaching them the "Wiccan Ways," and have a proper dedication when they reach the age, if they still choose to?

I agree with elfmage. Talk with them about their feelings on the Wiccan path. There are a few books out there for Pagan parents too. Let them explore the traditions until they find something that they feel is them. Then they can do a dedication.

technically its just like a christening. You could do a ritual of introducing your children to the goddess and ask for protection of them until they find their own path.
