I was thinking of making the walls hunter green then putting wood panneling along the bottom of the walls. but the only thing is all the furniture is black and there is only 1 window so I am worried it will be super depressing....
Any color ideas?

I think with good lighting it would work. Also if you can accessorize in bright colors(white maybe,or tan?Like pillows, pictures:done in black and white, etc.just enough to pop) that that would break up the dark colors.Oh,and if you were to do the panelling along the bottom, there is the lighter colors rather then going dark.It sounds like you've got a great idea to make a rich looking room :durrrr:

For a computer room the dark colors will enhance the picture on your computer. It will also help reduce eye strain. I have seen this exact color scheme at a freinds house and it was quite pleasing.

You could perhaps sand and stain the furniture to match the paneling and then it won't be quite so dark, or if you like painted furniture (not my choice *grins*), you could paint it a sage green which would go well with the hunter and paneling, and would lighten up things a bit. You might also want to paint the ceiling a contrasting lighter green to open it up.

I like the colour combo you are suggesting for a computer room. It reminds me of what a study or library should look like... rich dark colours, cozy, and warm. Accenting with off whites, burgandy, and good lighting. Also to keep things from seeming too "dark" add plants or pictures of nature and wildlife.

Dont forget to put at leats one, fist-sized rough piece of african rosequartz on your computer. this will reduce the electro smog, and bring a pleasent clour to your room, it will thus be so non depressing ;)

oops and forgot to say, combine the electric devices of the computers with those of electric rock-salt lamps;meaning either the lamps to burn day and nght 24/7 or at leats every time you hook up the pc. not only it looks neat and ionizes the air (which makes air nicer to breath, like ashore, you know). it also gves a room a comforting atmosphere and fights (again) the elctric smog.
