That is so beautiful!!! I especially like the chimenia (sp?) on the right corner. You've inspired me to work on my altar!

I keep several altars up all the time in the ritual room, including an ancestor altar. For Samhain, I take several things off the ancestor altar and put them out for the day/night. I also have my main altar dedicated to my gods (which is really a huge credenza) and a small altar for Bast who watches over our furbles. Those three altars always pretty much stay the same, though I occasionally go through and add/subtract stuff. For seasonal changes, I used to keep a perpetual altar in the living room but now I just use seasonal decorations depending on what's going on. Samhain, we always put together a specific altar but the other holidays we don't. I have harvest decorations up from First Harvest (Aug. 1st) until Thanksgiving. Yule decorations go up from Thanksgiving until the end of December, then I sort of reclaim my house and keep things decoration free except for fresh flowers and fruit bowls and the like. But I do change tablecloths with the season (to match the feel--have an ivory linen one with cabbage rose design for spring, summer, and a burgundy one with a similar design for autumn, winter, and a holiday one for Yule).

LOL...well, here's my ancestor altar and my main altar, give or take a few decorations. The guitar was my mother's and I keep it next to the ancestor altar. Would like to find a way to mount it on the wall but it's not made for a guitar strap so need to do some hunting around.

That's beautiful Yasmine!
Ooh you make me crave the ability to have an altar! I'm sure I could have one, but I'm not ready to deal with the questions or the assumptions from my roomy and my SO
