Amethyst Rose

Hello everyone!! As I'm sure most of you know, I'm Amethyst Rose and this is my third class....I've also done Wheel of the Year and Oils. Those were classes on my passing interests. This class will be where I really get to shine. :) I've been reading tarot for about 8 years. About 3 or 4 years ago I was reading tarot online for a site that no longer operates. I also read for friends and family when they ask. I have plans to create a website where I give tarot readings, as well as sell tarot decks and teach a tarot class - this class.
So you guys are going to be my guinea pigs! Any help or input you can give me on how the class may be more effective or any ideas you may have to make it more interesting are really appreciated. I'm going to be charging for this class eventually (of course, not here on MW!!), and I'd like to be sure I'm giving my very best to the people who want it.
So, here's how the class is going to work. Unlike my other classes, to take part in this class you must be able to fully participate. There can be no lurkers and no one can join in the middle of the class. Of course, anyone is always welcome to read the material, but tarot is something you learn by doing, not mearly by reading. I will be giving out assignments and I expect them to be done. The nature of the class means that you must finish one assignment before going on to the next. I may also break people up into reading groups or pairs for some assignments, so if you're going to sign up for this class, you can't just disappear on me and your partner, unless it is really important....so serious student's only, please. If it can arranged, I would also like to have chat sessions (these won't be mandatory) so people can discuss the lessons and maybe even do some practice readings online.
I'm expecting this class to be at least 8 weeks long...maybe longer. We'll go at a pace that is comfortable for everyone. While I would like to post a lesson once a week, I will delay it until all assignments are in (I'll wait a reasonable amount of time). Oh, and we will be taking a break over the holidays, so no one needs to worry about that.
I'm also going to ask that everyone has their own tarot deck to work with. I understand that that can be difficult for some people, but they're not too expensive. If you are absolutely unable to get a deck, then let me know and we'll make arrangments of some sort for you.
I think that's it for now....
I will be posting a thread for introductions and class sign ups, as well as a thread for the syllabus momentarily. I really hope you guys enjoy this! :)
