Recently I had an accident (trying to do something stupid) and had felt I broke my toe. This incident occured a week and a day ago exactly. My toe was bruised, swollen, and I could not walk on it. I finally made an appointment to see a doc and get an x-ray.

I kept dreaming at night that my toe was all better. This would mess with my head the next morning. And every morning it still would look and feel like crap.

My daughter saw the strange gargoyle-like creature (hubby and daughter saw it together last time) on the crest of our roof again yesterday in the morning before school while waiting for the bus. She was scared to go out there today, but I reassured her it is probabably an owl, due to no sound when it "disappears." She did not buy that. She stayed inside until the bus came and then RAN to it. She claims this thing is huge, nearly as large as a full-grown human and much wider with its wings spread, as hubby did when they saw it together the first time. Gargoyle, Mothman, Turkey Vulture (at night?) or Great Horned owl? It always seems to visit in the fall/winter.

Anyhoo, last night before falling asleep, I kept seeing ghosties out of the corner of my eye. There has been a lot of activity here lately (fluttering orbs of white light and such--two times I have seen what looks like a bright white light butterfly; I swatted, and my hand went right through), and I distinctly caught an elderly woman in a long nightgown walk past my bed and through my closet doors. I have no idea who she was, but I thought it would be nice if she had come to heal my toe! http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif

Then I awoke after dreaming once again that toe was healed and some great miracle of magick had been performed and my toe healed mystically. At first, I believed it. I lay in bed with my doggie for a while, and then he began to growl at something outside my bedroom window. I looked and nothing there; no gargoyle, Mothman, Aliens or Yeti to see. http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/images/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif... http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif.

To my surprize my toe felt better. I unwrapped it. It still looked like doo-doo. So, I kept off it, even though it felt strangely better, due to the severe discoloration and still-evident swelling.

Then I went to the doctor to get my x-ray and my toe looked at. I was so nervous I felt ill! The x-rays were taken and hung in the examination room. While waiting for the doctor, I had plenty of time to look them over. My bones are thick and very strong-appearing. I closely examined every joint of the healthy toes to compare to my injured toe. I could find nothing...not even a hairline. I stood in awe. The doc came in and examined my poor toe. Then he stood at the light with my x-rays very closely examining them.

"I see nothing." He says, as if he were very surprised it was not broken.

No, better yet...http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/images/smilies/banana.gif

I said, "I don't see anything either."

He proceeded to explain that I had one of the most severe contusions/sprains that he has ever seen on a toe, and that it will be 6 weeks until the pain and swelling quiet down, but IT IS NOT BROKEN!!! http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif I get to maintain my never-been-broken status!! WOW!!

I am AMAZED. I feel like superwoman!!! http://zezunja.punt.nl/upload/superwoman.jpg HEH!!!

I feel so invincible!!!

Or...was I miraculously healed by a ghostly visitor in the night? http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/images/smilies/fresse.gif
