This is a picture of a woman’s home. She has spent the last few years rebuilding this boat into her dream home. She just put it in the water last spring. A few weeks ago (I’m late with this) it broke its mooring in a storm. The harbor patrol tried to get it back out away from the shore which is usually not done for safety reasons, they made no attempt to save the Liberty (the boat I was 2nd deck hand on) when she broke lose a few years back, but this was someone’s home so they went after it. Their boat wasn’t strong enough and they had to cut it lose.
She is by no means short of money and the boat was insured but she is pretty wounded inside about it. She is a retired widow, but not that old at all. This was her husband’s commercial fishing boat. I’ve been keeping her in my thoughts I was hoping a few of you would too.
Dua Netjer en-ten
(Thank the gods for you)
