:) Most of you know that PB and I are PCSing to Colorado from Alabama. We had things all planned out and were ready to get out of here this coming Wednesday (the 15th). Unfortunately, things have developed a bit of a kink.
And not a good kink either. :goodgrief
The short story is that through an unfortunate series of event which were in no way Nallia's fault, we're no longer going to be able to use her Dodge like we thought we would, and so with only about three days before we were going to get out of here we're having to revamp and come up with a plan B to get all our crap from Alabama to Colorado.
For reasons that I don't understand, the option of getting a truck with a car hitch so we can do this in one shot is not going to work. The Air Force doesn't pay for car hitches. :wtf: *bangs head on the wall* I have no idea why not, but it's the stupidest thing I've ever heard.
Current plan B is to get in touch with Travel tomorrow and see if we can still have the Air Force move our stuff after all. I don't care if it takes them a month to get it out there, that's fine. We'll move what we need in our cars (and will still be able to claim part of a DITY move) and we can survive with it packed up no problem. Hell most of it's been packed for three months anyway.
If they can do that. We're packing the two cars on Wednesday and getting the hell out of this Loveing state.
So any good thoughts you can spare would be appreciated. If Travel can't get us moved, things are going to suck enormously. _taparoo_
