If you have extra energy, help me try to find a car? I've almost worked everything out to move out in january, but I still don't have a car. i need to find one that works for under $1000. My friend goes to car auctions, so maybe I'd have luck there.

All i know is i really really need to get out of my parents house. I need to see if I am strong enough and determined enough to make it on my own. I'd be working 2 jobs (one full one part time) and going to college part time. I'm living on my own for 6 months until I can get a roommate.

So if I get a car by then, I will be entirely on my own. They won't help with insurance, rent, school, car payments, whatever b/c they can't afford to help me and my brothers (who are older). I'm ok with all of that, just car insurance won't be too great either b/c I was just recently in an accident.

Blah, sorry for rambling. If you can send any good thoughts I'd really really appreciate it.

Have you checked with places like JD Byrider? Or local financing car lots? Often times, if you can come in with a $500 down payment, they can put you in something that will do very well, and JDByrider report your good payment history to the credit bureaus (as long as you pay LOL).

Also, talk to the new car dealers, because they often have really inexpensive trade-ins that are in decent shape, just older than the like to put on the main lot. Of course, if you know any mechanics, they can often find you the best deals.

I'll be sure to send car energy, we were without one for most of last winter, and it sucked rocks.

I just recently had to get another vehicle and I had good luck with Cars.Com (http://www.cars.com/) and Auto Trader (http://www.autotrader.com/) .

Energy sent your way to find a good stable car for your means. I ended up getting an 84 Buick LeSabre for $1100. It runs real strong and is really comfy. Only bad thing is that it has a 350 V8 engine and eats gas, but that kinda makes it fun too hehehe.
