Not a problem, HUGE cauldron stirring here. The Mate has had two laminectomies, one with fusion and hardware put in; and just started having to use a wheelchair. My best to Mol's Dad, and to all of you worried about him.

DH's uncle had a back surgery that required an incision through the back and through the stomach. It was a long involved process, so lots and lots of ongoing good thoughts from our side. He'll need them for quite a while.

He has been "retired" for a year but has been still working everyday. He knew going into this surgery that it meant retirement for real. If anything he will need energy to keep him from going insane with boredom. I am betting he will pick up a new hobby or two as he is a lot like his son.

It's likely that it'll be "or more" but we won't tell him that. I hope that this downtime in his life finds all kinds of new interests and that he may find the life he's always wanted but may not have known it. We'll keep him in our prayers.

I'm absolutely keeping him in my heart. After all, he's the Dad of our site god... I gotta! Seriously, I wish the best for him, and that he may find some hobbies that not only help him recover, but gain him more friends, and keep his mind sharp as a tack as well.
