...once again one of Sam's doctors is trying to shift diagnosis on us...in a not-so-good way, but there are a lot of conflicting possibilities, so we have decided to take matters into our own hands and approach whatever this is through a holistic and balanced approach, including intense meditation, herbal therapy, acupuncture, intense dietary therapy, etc.. If they can't help, then we'll have to do it ourselves. Period. We could use a boost, to overcome this constant exhaustion due to worry and fear--it clouds the ability to think straight. We are determined to reverse some of the damage Sam's had to his body by whatever it is that's wrong with him, or at the very least, halt the progression.

All prayers for our success would be appreciated, but I do ask that you don't send Reiki. Any Reiki done, I'll do--but I'm cautious of it because I know the power it can have, and I want it focused and directed in exact ways. We could just use a boost on calming anxiety, and on a successful outcome.

Sometimes I wonder if the Reiki doesn't automatically flow whenever I think of healing - I'll try asking that it not flow that way but you know how it is ;)

You'll both be in my thoughts and prayers. I hear you about what the illness does to the mind, and I wish that doctors would recognize that. It also affects everyone around you and every aspect of your life.

Thank you all...we appeciate all the good wishes and prayers. We are muddling through one day at a time...(one of his doctors has made a preliminary very bad diagnosis, the other doctor is saying it might be something else instead...we are going round and round...December is such a hard month anyway--his father died this month 11 years ago, and my mother died this month 4 years ago, and four years ago the doctors first made this same diagnosis on Sam but it was wrong then...we're hoping it's wrong now).

Life is quite a spiral, isn't it?
