The Honor Roll

Just a little incentive....the ego can be a great motivator. :)

I have, in my teacher's note book, been keeping track of everyone's assignments, and giving them a simple letter grade, from D - A. There are no minuses or plusses, just a simple letter, and nothing below D.

In this thread I will be listing those students who have an A grade. After every lesson, this list will be updated. You will only be on the honor roll if you continue to recieve an A grade. At the end of the class I will present those students with continued presence on the honor roll with a special banner, for graduating with distinction. For this banner, you must be on the honor roll for at least 70% of your assignments.

Any student receiving an A in 100% of all assignments will get a paper certificate of course completion. Those doing a truely consistantly excellent job will also get a tarot deck of their choosing, for doing such an amazing job! Those "truely excellent" students will have a star beside their names on the list.*

You have, at any time until the next assignment is posted, the ability to change your grade! If you want to be on the honor roll, but dont' see your name added after you submit your assignment, simply redo the assignment and hand it in (with REDO in the subject). Unless it really sucks, the extra effort will most likely get you that A. :D (If you want to know what constitues an 'A' assignment, just go back and read the answers given by those on the honor roll). :)

I just noticed the free tarot deck thing myself. At first I simply attributed it to me misreading it.

A new deck though, that's exciting. This is going to give me a headache. So many beautiful decks, so few I can use. :lol:

There's been a slight change in the Honor Roll's reward system, and I hope that no one minds too much. I really didn't expect so many people to be doing so well, and I'm afraid that I may go bankrupt with the tarot deck giving at the end of the course if things keep up this way or continue to improve.
So, if it's okay with everyone, I've changed it so that every one with an A gets a paper certificate, but everyone that goes way beyond all expectations will get the tarot deck.
I hope you guys don't mind the change....let me know if you do, and we'll work something out. :)

I don't have a problem with it. I honestly thought that was a bit much, but then again I'm poor so I hug on to my money tightly. :tongueout

Yeah, when I told my husband what I'd be doing, he wasn't too happy, seeing as how it's his money....well, it's our money, but he's the one that has to go to work for it. So it's for his sanity, as well. :)

But this is a good thing. It will teach you or re-affirm for you to go with your first instinct, the key tool for unlocking the messages of the tarot. ;)

wow I am in the Honour Roll!I realised that devoting myself in one thing works better as now I don't have any other MW classes(Well,maybe one more..) and I've been able to work more with my tarot.
Your choice is definately understandable,you can't give everybody an expensive tarot deck,you will bankcrupt.This is fine with me as what I want to gain from the class is a better understanding of the tarot and generally grow spiritually.But I will also work hard for the certificate.I already have 4 tarot decks so IF i ever am "nominee" for one I will donate it to another member that needs it more.
