I Dont Know What To Think Of This...

Allright...
I didnt take notice to some things happening around me untill today.

Here's the deal. In the past week I have been getting nightmares, as well as sensing a raised ghost activity in my room. I'm used to all sorts of spirits popping into my room every now and then, but the one that I keep sensing now is a stronger force - and I was able to see it for a few seconds, too, not just sense its energy as I usually do.
It seemed to be the same sort of figure that I saw in my nightmares.
Also, this specific Historical figure (that would fit the description of the figure I saw in my dreams, more or less) has been popping into my life in a sudden manner and in way too many freaky incidents to be considered "just a coincidence" anymore.

This is all kinda freaking me out...
I was wondering if this is in fact possible at all? Has anyone experienced something like this? What do you think I should do?

I'd want a bit more information before making any guesses. Describe the nightmares you've been having (in 25 words or less :lol:). What historical figure do you think corresponds to the ghostly activity? What other incidents are you talking about? Have you moved into a new home or aquired any new furniture or something that a ghost might be attached to? Did you recently visit the grave of a historical figure and do anything to attract the ghostly energy?

Are you wanting to 'talk' to the ghost? Or are you wanting it to leave you the heck alone?

i feel kinda wierd with all of this.. cause i dont know.. i feel fluffy (no offence to any fluffies out there)..

ok - well, the dreams i have - they dont happen all the time.. but when they do (in the past week or so) its of this young lady, i can only describe her as the girl from the movie "The Ring", except in her "dead mode" (ya know, when she crawls out of the TV), except a bit older and even scarier... And I'm always in this large house/castle and I'm always looking for her and feel like she's trying to catch me, and I get a very scary feeling during these dreams. I wouldnt say "evil".. but... ummm "unpleasent"..

this perticular historical figure that has suddenly popped into my life is Elizabeth Bathory (some of you who were in the chat the other day may have heard me mention her). She was a Countess in Hungary. She's also known as "The Bloody Countess".

On Monday I was talking to my friend about this "Cradle of Filth" (its a band) album of which I'm planning of getting a tattoo off of this album's cover art, and my friend mentions "you know this picture is associated [but not only] with Elizabeth Bathory". So me, being interested, I started reading about her a bit. There's one picture of her (also present in the link i provided) and she looks *very* similar to the figure I kept seeing in my dreams (except in my dreams she's freakier - dead looking). Last night, I was sitting in my room, messing on my computer when I sense this presence (that is always there in my room at nights when I get these freaky dreams), and I see this figure (for a few moments, but I *saw* it) and it looked way too similar to this same figure (this was a few hours AFTER i read a bit a bout Elizabeth Bathory).

Today, my friend sent me some pictures of the historical site where Bathory's old castle stands today - and it looks SO MUCH like what I saw in my dreams. Also, when I looked at this one photo I all of a sudden got a freaky vision, as if I was there before. My heart literally skipped a beat (ya know, when you get scared suddenly and your heart jumps). I got this "familiar" feeling.
Also, today I get this monthly magazine from this Independent Films Cinema that I'm a member of, detailing all the movies they are showing for January - and lo behold theres a special one time screening of a documentry/horror flick about - "The Bloody Countess - Elizabeth Bathory".

Normally, I wouldnt pay attention to little funky paranormal/spiritual/astral stuff that goes on around me (I easily sense energies of other beings, etc). But this one is just so STRONG. and so DIFFERENT. And that along with my dreams, and this "familiar" feeling thing, etc - Totally caught my attention. Not just cause I'm interested (because I'm very attracted to the dark side, I adore figures like Jack The Ripper and Vlad The Impalar, etc. So Bathory would be a natural choice of intrest). But this is just - WIERD.

I dont normally get wierded out or scared by stuff like this, but this one is just DIFFERENT.

Its hard to explain.

And nope, I didnt buy/get anything, I didnt move anywhere. This past week has just been ordinary. Aside for a few Lesbian Drama incidents, nothing THAT interesting. Just school & work, etc.

I just have this gut feeling about all of the above, but I have never experienced this before, so I was wondering if anyone else ever had this happen to them.

Edited to add - Another thing I just rememberd: She was officially "caught" a few days after Christmas. This is exactly the period where these things started happening (well the dreams a bit before), but all the rest of the crazy stuff, just now, after Christmas.

I can't give you any advice, but all I can say is "WOW" I came across a historical fiction book about her a couple years ago. I got sucked (no pun intended!!) into the book fast! She is a very interesting person. It would be good to find out why this is happening to you, if nothing else, for peace of mind. Maybe there was a "window" open somewhere and once you started reading, seeing, etc all these things about her, it linked the two of you.

As far as experiencing stuff--I have, but not on the detailed level you have. I "see things" all the time and in most places I go. Like I saw something a couple days ago at my hubby's work. More than likely it was attached to someone in the store...I say that because the store is only a couple years old and nothing violent has happened there, yet. Whatever this presense is, do you want it to be there? If not, then tell it. "Hey this is my area, you are not welcome. I ask you kindly to leave." Maybe say a prayer or blessing in the area it bothers you most. Or if you want it to be there and you want to talk to it..well I can't help you there. I've never spoken to my "friends". Usually, I don't even acknowledge their presense and they leave me be.

yeah I usually sense ghosts/spirits that are presents in my room or generally... but its not like this. I dont normally acknowlege them, and they are harmless. Usually just curious beings that come and go and dont bother me. And they dont usually come with dreams like this.

She is quite an interesting figure. I am always fascinated with figures like her. But I didnt know about her till just now. And I have this feeling that I need to tackle this and figure out what is happening because there is something I need to learn. Other than seeing the figure/ghost it hasnt DONE anything... I hope it wont (note - I'm sitting in the dark as we speak and am partially reaking myself out. At the moment the presence isnt here as far as I can tell).

I was thinking that maybe this is something of a Past lifetime of mine. But I dont recall past lifetime memories just popping up like this so easily with ghosts joining in as well.

Wow, that really is interesting. I don't believe I've ever heard of someone seeing a ghost that looks 'dead'. They either look like they're quite alive, or just too misty to tell for sure. You could see if there is someone in your area that does past life regressions to see if there really was a connection of some kind. If it freaks you out too much you can tell it to leave you alone. If you want to talk to it, you can use meditation, scrying mirrors, or tarot cards, possibly even a ouija board. But I'd be sure to erect some darn good shields first.

I dont really have any people out here who do past life regressions out here.. I'm not sure if I want to go back there and see just what kind of association I had with Bathory - if any.

I guess I'll have to wait and see... Right now I'm feeling something in my room :lol: but this may also be my mind playing tricks on me since i was looking into this a lot this evening. Plus its 1am and im exahusted.

This may not shed any light on any thing but me and the people I study these things with beleive that when you talk about some one it calls their presence to you so say you keep dwelling on this person they are going to be attracted by your intrest. that is assumeing that there are ghosts and spirits and that there aremt thousands of people talking about them all over the world to give attention to. Hmmm sound just like rambling to me. Maybe its lack of sleep or sanity or what ever. it sounded like a cool idea.

I don't have any input on the thoughtform or construct issue, but just wanted to add that I had a bit of an obsession with Countess Bathory too when I was in college. I wasn't practicing Paganism back then, and to this day I still can't see spirits or what-not, so nothing spooky happened that I recall, but I did lots of reading about her, and she's definitely a fascinating figure. There was also a novel called "Blood Countess" by Andrei Codrescu that was inspired by Bathory's life - it's fiction, but he definitely did his research! You can probably find it used somewhere - I sold mine last year, otherwise I'd send you mine. :)

I have this book....from what I've read about the real Bathory...damn he was close! To me, he took the actual story of her and just elaborated on some of them. I see it as a historical fiction..because it follows her story but with extras that no one could really know because Bathory never wrote down the things she did. If you haven't read it and her story is of interest to you, I recommend this book!!! I picked it up a few years ago during one of my high points of vampire obsessions and I hadn't heard of her at the time. She's now right up there with my obsession of Vlad!

You need to lay off the scary movies, the scary goth music, and whatever scary TV shows and scary books you're reading, and scary clubs you go to with your scary friends for about a week. Read something like Huck Finn. Watch the Discovery Channel. Listen to talk radio. Your brain is stuck in a rut, and you need to change the stimuli to dislodge it. I get like this too, but it's usually video games or role playing games that do it to me. Problem solved! No charge.

Actually I havent watched any scary movies lately... I also listen to Madonna and Tori Amos a lot, even The Corrs... I usually watch The Young & The Restless and Everybody Loves Raymond on a daily basis... I dont go out to any clubs cause im tired and i have no money plus im not a clubbish person to be honest... And my friends? most of them think I'm crazy and arent freaks like me :lol:

I really wasnt looking into any of this at all, this totally came by surprise.. The last "scary movie" I saw was "Underworld" and I fell asleep half way through, and this was 2 months ago...

My humble opinion is that possibly You were drawn to the album cover from something in your remote concious of a past life time.You have been concentrating on this alot trying to decide.The time you have been spending considering this has caused You to have more memories.( flashes from the past).I think You were drawn to the picture and that somehow You may have unfinished business with the person (entity).The time frame may have thined a veil where She has been able to materialize around You as She also senses something unfinished. If you continue to think about it or the Countess, you will continue to feed it energy, making it stronger. You need to banish it before that happens. I come from a Jewish background, and while I dont practice Judaism - they did a great job at brainwashing me, and so I cant use the name of The Jewish God. Its just a *thing*...
But I'll look into it nonetheless!
