Reiki Question

Hail to all those knowledgeable of Reiki!

I have a question about Reiki... How long can you go without using Reiki, before needing to be attuned again? I was attuned to levels 1 and 2 about 5 years ago... but I never did use it much... and then pretty much slipped from my path and went pretty much dormant on everything... I'm trying to rebuild everything that was once so dear to me. And was just wondering if I should get attuned again, or if just re-studying it and using it would be enough? Any wisdom is appreciated.

It wasn't unneeded--if you still had a question. Though before posting--you might do a search on the forum or the site...could never hurt. I've done the same thing myself without doing a search.

BUT--to give a quick answer...Reiki NEVER goes away. You are always attuned to it. It may not hurt to go over your manuals again just to refresh yourself. Getting a refresher attunement would NEVER hurt, but isn't truly necessary. Just start doing healing work again and it should come back to you.

PS...I'm a Reiki Master and been doing Reiki for about 10 years or so now--just so you know I do know what I'm talking about.

Thanks, Elise! =) And I think it is still there. As I read through that entire thread last night, I started feeling the same things I did when I was attuned... and my hands burned like lil red hot pokers! So, I think I just need to start working with it again. =)
