I tend to remember my dreams rather well, I think, and am deeply interested in dream interpretation... However, I really can only guess at them. Are there any really, really good books out there that you people would like to recommend for a beginner in dream interpretation?

I began dream interpreting when I was 13 when I found a very interesting article in a magazine and then tried many books on the subject.... but the problem is some of them are not to great... there are only a few good books... and there more-so the books that help you to learn to interpret all on your own...because our uncousious mind speaks to us all in a differnt way... a apple in a dream may represent many differnt things to other various people... like sin, or grandma because it reminds you of all those apple pies she baked... try to avoid buying alot of interpretation dictionarys because it slows your ablility to interpret your own dreams.... its like following only the tarot books interpretation of a card...also don't base everything on Freud's theorys... hes good to study...but he always tried to make it like all of our dreams are only sexual...and assosiates alot of things with phalic symbols... but it is good to look into some of his theorys...
heres some links to some websites that can help get your started...

i have the book zolars's encyclopedia and dictionary of dreams i also use dreaming@swoon alot too.. i use them as a guide only as things mean different things to different ppl.. when interperating a dream you have to take not only the things in the dream into account but also how the dream effected the one having the dream.. sometimes i have looked up things in my books and found they said the opposite of what my gut instinct was telling me..

My favourite dream book is called (I believe) The Witch's Book of Dreams. And I've read LOTs of dream books over the years! (It's always been a hobby of mine)
