View Full Version : strange dreams...and sex..

as of late i've been having these strange dreams, almost nightmares, but not the usual kind. i've had probably a week or so of dreams involving men and...sex. i don't mean sexual encounter exactly, actually more of abuse. it's very strange, each time i'm with some older man i know and i'm escaping somehow. however what i'm escaping from each time is his advances/abuse. none of the abuse actually happens in the dreams, but some of their dialogue suggests it. i'm very confused especially because at least twice this man has been my father (and we're not exactly the best of friends to put it lightly), and another time a teacher that i don't even have anymore. the dreams otherwise seem relatively normal and nondescript, except for that one issue. i've been having them very regularly for the past few nights and was just wondering if anybody has any ideas.-seeker

I wonder if you're recovering repressed memories from your past or something...?

strangely enough that is exactly what another friend said to me recently. it doesn't quite feel like that, but in any even i certainly hope it's not. but thank you for your suggestion.-seeker

If not suggesting sexual abuse in your past, then it might be, your father wants to reach out to you but you seem unattainable. Like you said you and your dad aren't the best of friends, do you ever notice him trying to talk to you but you turn away, or it ends up in a fight and you leave. This might be suggesting it. As far as your teacher, I honestly don't know. Are there other men making advances?

at the moment i am quite and utterly single, so i don't think it's that. however i do hope it's not my father doing anything consiously. he has some amout of power, but uses it in ways that are often unpleasant. thank you for your suggestion though.-seeker
