View Full Version : Shadow Figures

Okay, I've had this happen to me off and on all throughout my life; I occasionally thought I'd see a shadow of someone in the room with me out of the corner of my eye, but when I'd turn and look, no one was there. So I chalked it up to just being my eyes playing tricks on me.
Well, lately it's happening again; especially yesterday, I was sensing this black shadowy presence in the room with me, but it wasn't exactly out of the corner of my eye; it's closer to straight-on viewing, although it still disappears when I try to focus on it.
Then, when we went to bed last night, my husband and I both were looking at the TV screen, and in-between that little lapse of the TV show going off and the next commercial coming on, the screen went blue and we both saw this figure that looked like a woman's head watching us...
I'm not sure what to make of it. I had intended on trying to have my husband astral project with me last night, but I was a little unsettled after these occurances, and although I didn't exactly feel threatened, I decided that maybe I wouldn't end up safely back in my body, so we didn't do it.
The odd thing is that I seem to get these experiences more often during periods of time when I have been meditating more or scrying, or attempting astral projection, although the visions occur during the downtime, and not when I am focused into any one of those activities. Is it possible that my sensors are just staying more in tune with the higher frequencies because they're stronger after using them more like this? :yikes:

That is the most likely scenario, IMO. Through your work, you are opening yourself up to a higher energy vibration. The higher your vibration, the more attractive you become to "others". Additionally, the more you work, the longer you will be able to maintain that vibration, so the more noticable others become to you.
If you don't already, make sure that you cast a firm circle before any work that will have you opening yourself up. This will serve to protect you, should you accidentally attract a malevolent spirit.

Ever read H.P. Lovecraft's From Beyond? It's a pretty good story warning against messing with alternate frequencies.
Here's a small quote:
"With five feeble senses we pretend to comprehend the boundlessly complex cosmos, yet other beings with wider, stronger, or different range of senses might not only see very differently the things we see, but might see and study whole worlds of matter, energy, and life which lie close at hand yet can never be detected with the senses we have."
Take care

I have seen them my whole life..some call them shadow people. What there purpose is..I am not too sure. I don't think these folks were ever in human form. There some kind of non-human entity.
I have other stories about them..but some may think I am off my rocker so I'll save it for another time.

Was this (http://www.mysticwicks.com/showthread.php?t=81617&highlight=shadow+people) the sort of thing you meant?
And no, not personally. Although now I am kind of freaked out....

Well, yes and no. To me, the one on that thread looks more smeary or something, but it could just be the picture. The more I think about it, the more I am thinking that I am not actually seeing it with regular vision; maybe it is more of a "3rd eye picking it up" sort of thing, and that is why when I turn to focus with my real eyes, it disappears.
And what I am sensing is that it's usually more closely resembling the shape of a human's outline, although not well defined.
Because of this similarity, it also just occurred to me that it might be that I am sensing the presence of an astral-projector...which is why I'm sensing it as more of a human thing? Just not the whole human is there? Make any sense to anyone else?

I recommend, if you see it again, try talking to it. You have to either have a busy-to-the-point-of-hearing-nothing mind or a perfectly clear mind to have it work, if it's a spirit or ghost of some sort, and not just another projector, though. (Hehehe, or I do, at least ^_^).

in an old apt...downstairs neighbor was chanting and listening to elvis. he was a bit odd, shall we say? The thing was in the doorway
and staring at me. It was like a dark haze with red eyes. the room got cold and it never moved, needless to say I never went to sleep that night. I kinda wanted to tell him, "your boy is in the next apt downstairs, bad address" but I was too scared.

What's with the red eye stuff - the one I saw had eyes that were more orange? What do you think it was - mine said (projected thought) it was a ghost. Yep, nuts right? Not a story for the public at large.

Yeah, I've seen one before, except I was looking straight at it for about 2 seconds and then I hauled butt out of there lol. And up until this thread I thought it was a ghost or something. I see things out of the corner of my eye all the time. But you think that's scary? Try hearing them. It aint fun.

Not nuts at all. My ghost talked to me before (I was saying that he took my pantyhose, because he liked doing that, and he said in return 'I didn't take your tights! *sigh* You put them in the top drawer of your dresser.' And sure enough, that's where they were (even though I had already looked there o.o), and he used to play jokes on me all the time. :3 There was one time where he was pretending he was taking a shower (the curtain was moving slightly and I could sense him there), and I threw back the curtain, and I heard him squeal and saw a bit of him float up through the ceiling. I laughed and said, 'I can't really see you anyways.' ^_^
Anyhow, I recommend staying away from black-bodied ghosts, or shadows. I have a feeling they're just 'saying' they're ghosts. <.<;

I used to always see figures out of the corner of my eye but not much anymore. Actually we haven't had a spirit in our house in a few months. Wonder why because their usually always here or our senses are off.

I think the shadow people are different then ghosts/spirits. When I see ghosts, they usually take on some kind of form. Sometimes I can see who they were when they were alive. Not just a shimmery form, but a person fully dressed and everything, looking very solid.
Sometimes I can only see a whitness or a blackness. Some I can't see at all.
I kind of agree with the fact that they could be people astrial projecting. The other night I saw one over the tv. I was just hovering there looking at me. When I saw it ...the thing high tailed it outta there. I was kinda kreeped out...not in a evil thing is in my house kreeped out, but a someone is spying on me kreeped out.

I've seen shadow beings for a long time now. I've always thought they were ghosts. I mostly saw them in the nursing home I work at. I even talked to one that I sensed was a guy. Most of the time he would just stand there and watch us work. Yes, some of the other ladies there admitted after I asked them that they could see him too. He would even startle us sometimes. With me he stood behind me one time while I was washing my hands. I felt his presence behind me and told him to go away and that he startled me. I could feel his amusement. Another time he stood in a fellow workers spot. I didn't actually look up, I just started talking to who I thought was my fellow worker. When I looked she wasn't there. I could again feel his amusement. I've only seen him once at work since I changed departments. He might possibly be the same one I see here at my house occasionally come to think of it. Maybe it is someone spying on me.
