I'm going to my first circle saturday, I'm wondering what to expect? What are appropriate tools to bring? Also what does "becoming grounded with a feast mean?
thank you, and blessed be!

Hmmmm, well I would ask the people who are conducting the circle if there are any tools they want to bring, otherwise just bring yourself. What to expect? It would probably differ from group to group, again you could ask the person planning it, but I would just say be prepared with an open mind, maybe do some grounding before you go.
As for grounding with a feast, my only guess is that they are referring to eating after the ritual. Many rituals end with a "cakes and wine" session, eating food soaks up any excess energy and grounds you so that you aren't all spaced-out after raising and directing energy. I would say they are just referring to having something to eat "feasting" afterwards :)
Most important, relax and have fun!

Good advice! The only thing I'd add is to cleanse yourself beforehand. I do this every time... get my body and mind clean and ready/focused on the 'task' at hand. Just a suggestion...
And ditto on the relax and have fun part!

Also a thought and this may not apply. Some people fast (don't eat for a period of time) prior to Ritual. Afterwards they break fast. If you've ever not eaten for an extended period of time, it alone can make you feel spacey. Then top it off with raising energy. (Which alone, too, can do it for you). Cakes and ale aren't going to cut it. You need a feast afterwards.
Just a thought. At our circles we don't expect people that are new to our group to bring anything. Let them know you are new, if you haven't already done so. If they already know and haven't mentioned anything their expectations may be lower than you think. Everone remembers being new, no matter how long ago it was. It usually isn't something that you jump right into.

Thankyou Lilu, Dria el,and Luner mist! I appreciate the advice
and you taking the time to tell me. I told them I am new, they dont expect anything from me, I just want to learn all I can and be able to contribute. They are all great and I'm anxious/excited with it being my fist time (LOL). Blessed be!
