Hello all…I'm usually lurking in the shadows, reading what everyone else has to say, but I've finally come to a juncture in which I must reach out and seek the community's assistance. There is a certain symbol that I have been seeing on and off for the past couple of months. The first instance occurred around the same time that I began this Path (back in May) during a lucid dream, but as of late, I have come across it twice during deep meditations…in the same week, actually. To me it looks like a bind rune of sorts, but I'm unable too come to any conclusion. Can anyone shed some light on what they think it means. Thank you in advance…

I'm not sure really if i can help, though the X rune is gift, and the little lines comeing down perhaps have a negative influence on the 'gift'.
Try searching for it, or something close to it, or perhaps the combination of two.
Here is a good site to start:
symbols.net (http://www.symbols.net/runes.htm)
Good luck, i'm curious to know if you come up with anything!

This would appear to be some form of tjaldruna, or tent rune, although it doesn’t follow standard formula (tines on the left side indicating the aett, tines on the right indicating which rune within that aett). There isn’t a fourth aett… well, except in the Anglo-Saxon/Frisian Futhorc. That would be Ior; it represents generally a sea serpent, or specifically Jormandr, the World Serpent that encircles the earth.

Rick, is there a specific/broad divinatory meaning for Jormandr?

Hmm... Jormandr is the serpent that wraps around the earth... he is the son of Loki, sibling to Hel & Fenris... he is the bane of Thor; at Ragnarok, they kill each other (the snake swallows Thor, Thor kills it from the inside by squeezing it's heart; he staggers out of it's mouth & dies from exposure to it's toxic venom)... earthquakes & tidal waves were often attributed to Jormandr's thrashing about in the sea... you might roughly equate Jormander with Leviathan.
One of my reference books says that Ior is a powerful rune to use in bindings, but other than equating it with sea serpents (or sea beasts) in general & Jormander specifically, it doesn't give a lot of information.

I do thank you all for the insight...especially you, Rick. I shall continue to meditate upon it and see where it takes me. I will definitely share what I find, in the event that something is revealed to me.

Aw, ain't no thang, bro... I got all this otherwise useless trivia rattlin' around in my head; it's good to be able to let some of it out time to time...

Rick,
I was searching around for additional info on Ior and came across this:

I found it very interesting...thought that you might as well.
