IS it true that most Bards are Druids? Because someone told me this, and I wanted to know if it was more of a personal observance or if it were a fact....

Depends on what Path they're following, just like everything else in life.

I agree.

Historically though, (I belive) all druids went through bard training. This would be MOST neccesary considering that we're talking about an oral tradition. That's the reason it's so dang hard to get reliable info. on the path. No written word to speak of.

Peace,

Traditionally becoming a Bard is one of the steps to becoming a Druid, but the term has also been used to describe anyone who writes poems, music and prose.

Another thing to look at is that the Bards (at least in Celtic society) are the historians.
A large part of being a bard is to store historical facts as songs and poetry so that they are easier to remember.
Another part of being a Bard is to use the power of song and poetry to bring justice.
That is the art of satire.
Not only was this used to embarass the offender, but they knew that the song would outlive them, bringing shame to their memory.
