It could be, or it could actually be a refelction off the camera. My camera does that a lot, the sun bounces off my lens and is captured in the camera.

Firstly let me say I do see paranormal pictures and believe in them most of the time. However I have one exactly like that. And it was just the sun. Sorry hun, I can't see anything magical or supernatural there, just a trick in the light which I can make quite easily and do the same thing.

no, I'm sorry, hun, because you're the one who's missing out on something really cool. Okay, I understand that maybe you can't see what I can see on the screen because it doesn't do it justice.
But I also said in the starting post that I posted this for those people out there who can actually see something in this, and not for the nay-sayers, which is exactly what you just did.
I know for a fact that there is something supernatural going on with this particular picture, because of something that happened with it when my sister and I both touched it. However, I am not going to bother to share that with you...I would be interested in seeing this picture you have which is exactly like that.
I'm retracting my picture before more people will ignore my request and tick me off further.
No you posted for 'those who are into that sort of thing' and I am, but that picture is just a trick of the light.
And of course I shall show you...if you give me a scanner.

It seems to me that AuntBoo pointed out clearly that she would like input from people who actually do SEE something "otherworldly" in the pic. :(

Look at Earthy all showing off and highlighting things.
I see lots of stuff. The strongest being an image of an old man's face. Very long beard and little wire glasses...but it keeps changing when I try to focus on it to get more details....which is annoying and intriging at the same time.

AuntBoo, couple things.
1. I love the picture, it looks cool regardless and needs a caption of the little boy saying, "...But God, I'm not ready to go yet!" sorry, just seemed funny to me the way he was hanging on trying to avoid getting sucked into the light...
2. Yep, I could explain it, but I could explain rainbows as well and that wouldnt detract from their spiritual meaning in relations to me and God's covenant.
3. You have to accept that people will still post and explain all the "trickeries" of light and "blah blah blah..." Just realize, its their opinion, and not necessarily fact no matter what another might say.
the part thats the hardest to get/forge/happen in the pic is the combination. The halo is cool, but easily explained, but the beam of light with the shadows in it, in conjunction with the halo is what makes it so cool. Not saying its not real, nor that its not a trick of light... :awilly:

Hey, Flar, you took the words straight from my brain!

I see something, but I'm not sure what I see. wait, i do see something...it's sideways...in the hightlighted picture that Earthy posted...there's a man all the way to the right..it looks like he's wear a hat...there's a man in the middle and it looks like he's got his mouth wide open. The one all the way to the left, it looks like he's looking at the other 2. This is what I see after stareing at it for a little while, then it changes to a man on the left an older woman in middle and a man to the right. Is there a way to crop just the portion of the picture out, enlarge it and rotate it?

I can see something, which i have highlighted.
Looking at Earthy's circled pic, I can see Stacy Keach.

But that's it. I won't bother to waste space with trickery of the light, since you don't want to hear it...

Accually in the first pic I see three faces that those of you who outlined things didn't outline. the ones I see are further down in the light below the arc. Well maybe I'm weird or maybe every one sees something different depending on who they are and how they think. As for there being something there I think so, I go through tons of ghost sights in my spare time and this looks better than some of the ones people have deliberately made (fakes). Don't let the skeptics get to you! On the one with the "microphone stands" it reminds me of the pictures of vertical vortexes (I think that's what they're called) that usually show up "grounded" to someone or something with surrounding supernatural energy. Well thats my thoughts on it. Thanx for the great pictures.

Seeing the original pic, I'm inclined to call it overexposure of the film from the light also because you are taking a picture of a dark area in the presence of one light source. The other pics you posted of the grave looks the same.
However the other two pics are kind of weird. I don't know what that red thing on the left is, it looks like the light from sunset is hitting the cloud a weird way. However the one in the middle is the most freaky, Smoke don't make shapes in the air like some demon with wings. Especially not with exactly poportional symetry to it.
PS. Wait I know what that picture is of... That IS smoke, the 4 light rod things are incense burning very close to where you are taking the picture, I recognize the shape. The reason it looks like that is because you have the camera set with a wide iris. When will overlap light sources when you move the camera.

Furthermore, the more I read into quantum physics, I've come to realize that one could say that we ourselves are nothing more than a trickery of light...and yet I don't know that any one of you would argue that we are not here. Maybe that I'm not all there...but not that I'm not here...
:bug:
I LOVE reading about Quantum physics, it's so mind boggling.
Even if it is a "trick" of light, I have never seen the particular "designs" in your picture in any picture I have ever taken! I believe it was a sign also, the "trick" of the light in this picture is too intricate to be otherwise.

Okay, I'm not sure if I understand the incense thing...btw I had pm'd you before you edited to clarify, asking about the demon wing thing...the thing is, unless I don't understand what you're talking about with the incense comment...there were never any type of incense burning things anywhere near the porch, anytime around when this picture was taken...
Ok can you explain the details of the circumstances in that picture? Did you have smokers near that chair? if no incense how about those mosquito repellents? Who was taking the picture? was the picture taker smoking?
How many fingers am I holding up?

What picture?
MoonDragn
January 21st, 2005, 01:48 PM
Ok, I looked at the picture closely again, and noticed something else... Were you using a flash? Only the left side of the picture is bright. Like there was another light source behind the person taking the picture. If someone was smoking, that light would definately have lit up the smoke.
Another thing the white stuff reminds me of is someone using a paint program and using the spray paint option. You sure this pic has not been doctored?
Another thing about those orange light thingys, they are not lighting up anything around them with a orange glow. it is almost like water dripped on the film itself before you developed it.
Another thing it could be, the shape matches the outline of the car behind the smoke you can see it trace the outline there and the other ones may be somehow a reflected image of that. Maybe a neon sign or something reflecting off the windows hitting your camera at an odd angle causing diffraction.

But on this particular picture, I still choose to delve further than the scientific...not just because of the things that I see, but because of all of the circumstances that surround this one...I still truly believe that it was a sign of some sort. One of the things that I withheld from sharing at first is the fact that my ex mother-in-law, who was not as quick to want to believe in this picture being anything more than a trick of light, did see a face in it too; a face that looks just like the son that she lost due to him being struck by an automobile right out in front of this property many years ago, when he was only five years old. So who's to say that he didn't take advantage of the "light refraction" to pop in for a quick cameo, and probably wish his dad a happy birthday? (that's what we were there for that day, to celebrate)
Furthermore, the more I read into quantum physics, I've come to realize that one could say that we ourselves are nothing more than a trickery of light...and yet I don't know that any one of you would argue that we are not here. Maybe that I'm not all there...but not that I'm not here...

Is the face in the upper right hand corner of the lower section of window, looking straight out at the camera with the mouth/beak kind of open?

AuntBoo - I realize I should've responded to this thread, but I have a comment in my thread "My Best Ghost Photo" about your photo with the ecto near the rocking chair.
Just to keep things organized... I'll post it here, too:
What is that white box-like image that the apparition seems to be standing over? At first, I thought it was swirling around the rocking chair, which seems appropriately creepy to me. But looking closer, it is more in the foregound, and seems to be reaching out toward that white table... which to me looks like a piano. But, I see a bird cage on it, or something. So, anyway, my question is: What is that white table/piano - thing? The spirit seems to be reaching down to it, like opening a box, or playing the piano.

Here is one for you- it's my mom's. The funny/wierd part: The man taking the pic took one right before and one right after- nothing.
He died a month later.
I think the "sunlight" marks on the right side look demonic. It creeps me out.
